I bought a 240 last year and now, about 9 months and way too much money later, I'm finally about to operate on my 240 (well not me, someone I can trust:). Next monday the car goes into the shop for the mods. Here's a list (any more suggestions?):

Engine:s14 sr20det with 550cc injectors, lightened flywheel, and a s15 turbo instead of stock

Transmission:the dreaded auto to manual conversion( clutch and break pedal assembly, clutch line, master and slave cylinders, driveshaft, etc)C's short shifter

Coolin' :Koyo s13 radiator with permacool 14" fan and adjustable thermostatBlitz FMIC kithot pipeBlitz SS Bov DD

Exhaust:Apexi N1 dual catbackCatco catBlitz 3" downpipe

Electronics:Blitz SBC-iD boost controllerBlitz SBC-iD power meter

Fuel:Walbro 255 lph fuel pumpZ32 MAFS

and other misc. stuff like a water pump, shifter knob, seals, etc....my garage is full.

I drop the car off at a friend's business on Dec 8 and he says it should be done perhaps in a week, maybe two. I can't wait...Christmas came early!

I gotta give credit to Jeff and Yury at Heavy Throttle, I bought as much as I could from them because of their great expertise and real willingness to answer my dumb questions. (not to mention it was Yury that sold me his engine)

What do you guys think? Am I missing anyting I really need? Thanx!

i dont think you're gonna need the 550 cc injectors if you dont plan on upgrading more that the s15 turbo, you're just going to waste gas... other than that sounds good. Good luck, you'll love it. and it makes it even more special that you've been waiting for it for so long now. Enjoy

i dont think the s15 turbo is much different thatn the s14 but better to be safe than sorry. dont skimp on fuel with a turbo engine thats jsut dumb. but sinceu have those injectrrs and z32 maf u need something to tune them. get an apexi afc or ecu retune, enjuku will retune the ecu for like $400 much better than jwt.

Structure, you're right, the s14 and s15 turbos are both BB T28s but the s15 is made of slightly better material and will deal with high heat and flow stress better (or so I've read - somebody correct me if I'm mistaken). I actually got the tuned ECU from the original car as part of the deal for the engine and am ditching my own so I don't have to wait to have it reprogrammed and sent back to me (yeah, laziness can be expensive:). And I'm definitely not going to grenade my engine to save some gas money...

no, I bought it in my own little podunk town of Chattanooga, TN.got it for 1500 because the KA was having lifter problems - thus the original reason for swap research (or at least the excuse:) )

the s14 t28 has journal bearings, the s15 t28 has ball bearings :) Ball bearing is faster and smoother spinning.
