It's been right about 1 year since I bent a rod in my Ca18et......and with the move from northern Cali to the Southeast shortly after, I haven't had time to mess with it........until recently. Anyway.......it's finally done. Just need to re-paint the valve covers, and IC pipes, and get an oil catch can to replace the breather.

Here's a shot I took just before the ca-et crapped out back in Cali.........

Where did you find a genuine RS12 hood. That was exclusively for FJ20 cars.

Daaaamn! Thats really nice! I dont usually pay to much attention to the s12 crowd but if done correctly(like yours), they look really impressive. Are S12 lighter than the S13? I would assume so. That picture with the Golden Gate bridge and the mountains in the background look dope. Wish there were mountains in Illinois.

not quite. I'm getting a misfire/stumble when I start boosting, and a misfire at idle. I'm just waiting for the snow to clear to figure it out.

And to Davidricardo86. The S12 is a smidge over 2600lbs.

My S12 felt heavier than my S13. Not sure if it actually was. Were I in the states I would rock the S12.

i remember the research i did when comaring E86s to S12s, while an e86 corolla is about 2200 lbs stock, the s12 can have a variety of weights depending on enginei remember the heaviest being the VG30 at around 2800 lbs (somebody reference clubs12, where i found that info)

so engineless, i sould think the s12 be sleightly skinnier than the s13, but only a bit... moreso than the s13 vs s14 tho, you might find 150 lb difference, engineless

(not enough of a difference fo rme to choose an s12 over an e86, but maybe enough to be worth it for some people)

with a CA18det tho, fun car either way

Seriously, I really want your car. One of the most awesome cars I have seen in a long, long while. Perfect platform, great mods (almost identical to my setup), and superb attention to detail. If you EVER want to sell, I have dibs. Seriously. DIBS.

Keiths car has to be the cleanest s12 I have ever seen. Now you got an extra cam like me. You should come back to cali so we can do some side by side ca18det s12 donuts.
