Finally Ran At Track With Nitrous

1st run without nitrous was [email protected]

2nd run with nitrous had a 2.21 60', [email protected] in the 1/8 and [email protected] in the 1/4

3rd run with nitrous ... 2.26 60', [email protected] in the 1/8, [email protected] in the 1/4

Last run with nitrous yielded a 2.16 60', [email protected] in the 1/8, [email protected]

On the last run i shifted to 5th because i was getting close to redline, but i should have legged it out in 4th like the previous two nitrous runs (note the trap speed). This was on a 55 shot....next time i am going with my MSD 6AL, and a 75 shot...I have video of all runs in car, and from audience, but i don't know how to post it. Let me know what you think....

It has cone filter, Gutted cat, dual outlet muffler, plugs, wires, 4.64 gears, and 245's on the back...Full suspension, rims, shogun kit, shift light....and i am putting my MSD 6AL in tomorrow...it was a 55 shot...and no i don't have the bottle heater either

IMHO the bottle is for p******. all motor is where its at. if you can build up a motor and get it running faster than a car on the baby bottle thats something to talk about.

A power adder is a power adder...i agree that all motor is more respectable, but it doesn't matter how you get the power, you have it. And i didn't pay 500...i payed 300

honestly, every person that says Nitrous is for p****** needs to be kicked in the balls.

They usually either:A. don't know how it works.B. can't afford it so they say "All motor is better!"C. are scared of it "Blowing their motor"or D. are just plain ignorant about power-adders from the beginning.

Nitrous is the poor man's turbo. It's just another way to get horsepower.

Good runs on the juice. I ran nitrous for over a year on my car, no problem. Now i'm selling the kit and have my turbo ready to go on. Mine was a 70 dry shot too, really fun to hit in 2nd to the house. :ylsuperMine redlined super fast and i have the stock gears, i couldn't shift fast enough, i can't imagine it with the gear upgrade:eek:

Im sure he's happy with his times and his N2O install and if so mroe power to him. I personally just don't see the craze in nitrous. Thats that.

No offense taken by any comments. I use to be against nitrous, hardcore. Then i had a chance to get a kit for 300 with a half filled bottle and i took it. Installed it and i love it to death. With the upgraded gears it is nuts with nitrous...i have some really sticky 245's on the back and i can nail it in first with the nitrous and my car jumps instead of spinning tires, first gear is over as soon as i step on the pedal and second might as well be first...lol

I finally took on my friend foxbody 5.0 that ran a 14.5 before his cam and intake manifold, and at about 80 he was catching and passing me....that was with a 55 shot, i wonder how he will fare against a 75 at the track. I would give some video when i get it but i don't know how to host it.

Pretty good runs with the N2O. You really need a bottle warmer, might want to try a 1 step colder plug and see if that helps any, close that gap a little too. I've thought about putting nitrous on my car just for those times when someone is barely pulling away on the street. What kind of kit do you have?
