well he obviously does not know that ALL HID kits are illegal in stock housings no matter what kelvin, and the NHTSA and DOT have been cracking down on the importers and retailers. I won't be suprised when they inform the PDs, and they start popping hoods looking for kits, and reading what bulb should be in there which is on the front of the headlamp.weems84 wrote:After a good 6 month run my controversial yellow hid lights caused me to get pulled over tonight by a Texas state trooper on HWY 6 S. He let me off with a warning because he new they looked odd but didn't know if they were illegal. He said he would "read up on it". He also checked my tint, it was 35%, then let me go. So i'm still gonna keep hid's but switch to a 4300k pure white light bulb.

I can only imagine how painful it would be to look out the window at those headlights...Clipsed wrote:I have some aftermarket projectors that work great with yellow HIDs, but I don't have the yellow bulbs yet. Here is a pic from someone I know with the projectors and a yellow HID bulb in it. .. . .

I've heard that's the case - probably much easier on the eye than white/blueish white.Clipsed wrote:You must remember that yellow is one of the easiest colors to look at when driving.

Haha, sweet justice! The other day I typed in ain't in a forum response and was surprised to see it wasn't underlined as a misspelled word.Clipsed wrote:haha, I remember when my dad would get PISSED the hell off at me every time I would say "ain't" since it wasn't a word, slapped him in the face a few years later when they put it in the dictionary! lolz.
