it really isnt from illinois my roommate bought a few years back from florida didnt move out of his garage at all really he didnt have time or money for it so i told him i would take it off his hands there is no rust at all body is fairly mint paint as faded in some places but its like a burgundy color i really dont know wut the bungee cord is doing there the shop it is at did that there is no motor in it right now tho the shop took it out i just moved so the car had to go out of his garage n where i moved the garage is a mess so i just took it to the shop to put the motor inredchief wrote:Paint and interior looks to be pretty decent but seeing how your from Illinois get any rust on the car in check before you start with any upgrades brother. Whats the bungee cord holding btw and also what color is it? Looks orange almost. Good fortune to you and your build man
ya it does look orange i think its the way the sun was hitting it and maybe cuz it is on my camera on my phone so not really the best quality of photos no i dont work at the shop but i no all of them pretty well and my boss gets work done to his car there so i figured since i have no room right now due to the moving process and the fact i want this car at least on the road im just having the shop do it other than that i will be doing any other work that i can but im still pretty new at messing with cars but this site has tons of info so im hoping if i come across any problems i can find my solution here or some1 here could help meredchief wrote:Thats good, gotta love the good ol' south(at least for vehicles). I said that because I plan on keeping my car, at least till somebody plows into me, and I want to preserve it for as long as possible. So I did some investigating and found some rust in places I never noticed before so I'm in the process of "oxidize proofing" my hatch. Good explanation on the bungee cord haha. So do you work at the shop you took it at? Also does the car seriously look more orange than anything to you in the pic's you snapped?
lol i got the actual panels in my room they were rlly dusting from sitting in the garage for four years thats how long my roommate has it n he had it nvr driven it cept backing it out of the garage into the driveway and i will keep everyone updatednightsauce wrote:you'll def get best interior if you go to a show. plastic wrap = teh ownage. nah but seriously keep up the work. i'd like to see updates later
ya i have a few ppl that have more knowledge than me if i need help and i will let you know if i need anythingredchief wrote:I'm glad that you are willing to do all your own work, everyone always wants to be taught how to do this stuff but its just best to tinker and learn on your own, however there will be times where a knowledgeable, helping hand will save you alot of frustration. If you were closer I would be willing to give you a hand with whatever. I do have a bunch of spare parts laying around so if you ever find yourself in need of something let me know.

Drove it for about 3 months, blew the motor, and started the sexy time. Now a days id just buy some **** box like that to start with, saves ALOT of money.
