Well I have wanted a 240sx since as long as I can remember and I have had a few cars between then and now. My last car was a 06 wrx that I loved to death but insurance was killing me so i parted ways. So last week friday after weeks of searching i now have a 1990 240sx. It is completely stock with 30,920 original miles on it. 5 speed transmission, newer potenza tires, came with a car cover and not a spot of rust. Looks like it came right out of the factory. Plans for the future not quite 100% sure as of right now but would love to do sr20 swap.

Well pictures are worth a thousand words......

Fek ya man! Good find bro. Welcome to Nico BTW. sr20s are cool swaps, but rebuilding KA for turbo specs are even cooler. Good luck keep us posted.

Dude, that 240SX is fresh out the factory! You're very lucky to have that car! It must have cost you quite a pretty penny... Just on a side note, if I were you, I wouldn't touch that KA, but that's just my point of view. Make sure you take care of the car!

Yeah definetly if i did an sr20 swap i would strip it down and clean it paint it rebuild it. I am probably going to pick up one or two of those tech videos i found in the forums here. i paid about 6k for it what do you think its worth? and if i do take that KA out how much you think i could get for that?

Beauty! I paid $6k at a dealership in 1996 for a 1990 with 60,000 miles in similar condition, so the price is not too bad actually. Welcome to S13 fun for the next 10 years!

6,000 is def a lot for a stock 240sx.
But that is one CLEAN 240sx. I wouldn't even touch that motor and work on other things.
Nice car man.

Thats beautiful. I wouldn't touch that motor either. I would just lower it and get some good fitting wheels....

Sweet S13, that's the cleanest stock S13 I've ever seen. I had the SOHC KA in my S13 but it didn't have much top end power so I decided to drop in the SR20 and it's totally worth it. I had a blast putting it in myself and are still having a blast bolting on parts.

nice car. just don't gut the interior. nice find. 6K is kinda expensive for a single cam would be nice if it was a dual cam.
forget the SR...go VQ35!

that hatch looks too good to mod imo.
save that car and keep it the way it is.

if you swap an sr in,
you'll be throwing that 6k down the drain.

buy a nice shell for your mods.
keep this one nice and cleeeeean.

$6k is way high for a stock s13... but this isnt your typical stock s13. the price compared to the condition/miles is actually reasonable to a true 240 ENTHUSIAST. by far the cleanest I have ever seen judging by the pictures. although I will say this... if I bought a mint 240 like that along with the price, it would be a weekend car with no hardcore mods. I mean, why buy a mint older car if youre just going to make it "un-mint" by driving it everywhere and leaving it out in the sun? Its ok to mod it though, just make sure all of the aftermarket parts and installed correctly and dont take away from the clean look. I wouldnt beat on it, and i definitely wouldnt touch the paint, it still has 99% clear coat. lol

run that barely broken in ka for the next 200,000 miles then swap in an sr! its beautiful, lowered with some nice wheels would be about all i would do.

Don't forget to remove that rust-inducing spoiler and preserve that mint hatch. Looks good man. With those kind of miles I'd say keep the ka and do suspension/wheels/etc. Could always turbo the single slammer if you wanted and that would be pretty damn fun.

I'm with everyone else. It's rare to find a 240 that clean and in that good of a condition.

yeah i thought about just keeping in the garage for another 20 years but what fun would that be i'd like to enjoy this car that i always wanted. I searched and searched for one for a couple months too and all i've been finding is rusted out 240's or ones that have been rigged together. I would like more power out of it and an sr20 seems to be the best way to go besides to turbo the ka but then wouldn't i have to rip all that apart and rebuild it? Then I'd be in the same boat if i just do that with an sr20 but then i can still drive it while im rebuilding the sr and making it look nice to throw in here. I don't know yet I'm still a little low on funds as of right now so I probably won't be doing much for at least another month or two.

Do it, and then buy another 240 thats not quite as nice to mess around with. that thing is MINT. If it was mine I don't think id drive it at all, just start it every like 2 weeks and keep it locked up where it wouldnt get stolen or damaged! haha
