FINALLY!!!! My Q drives like a it should have from the begining!!!!!

Got the ITB 02048 completed today and I am absolutely enthralled with the difference. I was very skeptical about this , and I really didn't think it was going to make that much of a difference, but I truly was night and day. I can actually get the rear tires to squeal off the line in dry weather now whereas this would never happen before. everyone with a 2002 Q , its is worthwhile to get this done!

I have heard that this is a major difference. Did you have to pay, or did the dealership do it for free?

unfortunately i had to cough up $840 for them to do it. In my mind I dont think I would have had a change for it it to be covered due to the high mileage of the car (90k). either way I'm happy I did it. I can defiantely say this car is a keeper now.

Thanks to the lower first gear in the five speed auto, F50 really scoots from a standing start.

At highway passing speeds, they are about the same as a G50.

All 2002 F50 owners should be certain this update (actually two updates together combined into one TSB) is installed before purchasing.

Or just get a 2003+ F50.

Thing is, the Ms are roughly the same price as the Qs..... but doesnt have all the neet gadgets (heated adjustdable rear seats )..

My 02 Q 45 is in the shop tonite for the same issue. I'm at 59k and 51months. It looks like they will do it under warranty. I had posted before om this topic.
