FINALLY MY FIRST Z

If I had a penny for everytime I would get on craigslists to search for a car I would be a rich man today! I've always wanted a 300ZX but I just couldn't stand to buy one with out feeling guilty about the limited room space. But now after getting my wife her BMW x5 I said the hell with and I finally got my first nissan 300zx 2+2.
I'm not very mechanically gifted but I can defend myself with simple stuff like brake changes and oil changes maybe some spark plugs but I haven't done it in a while, anyways I'm not sure if I got a good deal on my purchase the guy was asking for 4000 it is a 1990 300zx 2+2 black on black with leather interior in fair condition it came with a greddy front bumper and a veilside rear bumper no side skirts also it has 18 inch black with chrome staggered rims. The t-tops have a good seal and my dad which is somewhat of a mechanic and a car salesman says the engine and transmission seem to be running very well but something seems to be wrong with the suspension he says the steering wheel has some play in it and it starts to shake above 45 mph the guy that sold it to me said it was a tie rod and he assured me it was an easy fix. Also the paint was a peeling in some areas and my dad said it would need new tires. After everything was said and done we were able to talk the guy down to 3400$$. I had been looking for a black in black 300zx with leather interior for a long time and I was not going to let this deal pass me up. So if anyone has any input on wether this was a good deal please let me know also if anyone is from the Rio Grande Valley, down south in Texas I would really appreciate a recommendation to a shop that works on Z cars thanks you and to all a Happy New Year
