Has been a long time since i have posted. i restarted my swap this month an am pleased to say i am finished. i have some pictures i emailed to myself on my phone but i cant seem to get photobucket to recognize them. Ill work on it some more another time. This is the first swap ive ever done let alone on a Q. I still have to determine if the chain guides on the other engine are plastic or not. I hope not because i will have another engine to tinker with. The car i put my engine in is beautiful. Got it from florida with 204k miles on it but it is mint. interior is pearl with black trim. Its remarkable other than a tear in the driver seat. Gutted my precats, redid another 20 hoses or so. As well as new hose clamps for those piece of junk wire ones. Just have one question. I did an injector upgrade from deatschwerks before the car was wrecked Phase 1 to phase 2 injectors. Couldnt help but notice the harnesses werent labeled positive or negative. i just lined them up with the old ones. They work fine but i was wonering if it mattered which way u connected them or if the harness itself determines what is pos/neg depending how they are spliced. Also, they seem to have a slight clicking noise. Nothing major but just wonering if this is normal.

BTW im in need of a nico ECU, i have a core out of the 92.

Also, plenty of parts for sale off my 93 tan Q45.

Congrats on finishing your project!

If you're referring to the connectors on the injectors, I would think their polarity is maintained by the tab on the connector that keeps you from plugging it in backwards. Might check with Deatchwerks if you have any questions... I assuming you're using the phase one style harness with the adaptors mated to the phase two injectors?

Congratulations with the swap! About the Photobucket issue...you need to MMS Text each individual picture to the Photobucket website if you're trying to upload from your phone.
