after well over a year, too much money, and too many headaches, my CA is back on the road. I started it up last week, but I couldn't drive it because of problems related to my ecu. A few express mail envelopes, a ton of emails to and from Rafi (pulsar_GTR), an eprom chip and a couple days later, my car is driving again. It feels good to be driving on the right side again. I've got about 50km on the rebuilt motor and everything seems to be doing fine (turbo might be dying though =/ damn used turbos). I've been driving pretty much like a grandma thru the city, but slowly let into it in 4th gear on the highway to load the engine and promote ring seating. I took it up to about 5psi slowly. It felt good and sounded great. I hope to change the oil tonight at work and check again for any leaks or low fluids. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to post later this week.

And I'd just like to say that Rafi is a great guy. He's very willing and eager to help and very easy to communicate with and get a hold of. He helped me tremendously and I can't thank him enough. We're very lucky to have the people we do in our forum.

Did you ever get the EPROM chip working? If you did can you explain it to me?

apparently there was a mistake made when burning the eprom chip. I'm not sure if it was the actual chip itself or the way it was burned, but Rafi sent me another chip and it started right up.

Congrats! I was wondering if it wasn't the chip itself...

Hi Chris,

I am very glade that your car started up, and my apologize on the first chip, I messed up lol. But no one is perfect. If it is a nissan problem that you are having, I will go the extra mile to help a fellow Nissan, if you have a honda problem, I would probably tease the **** out of you until you send it to the junk yard.

Congrats again.

Ha at your AIM messages last night.

Rafi does indeed rock. He was really helpful friendly when I was about to buy a CA. It fell through but still.

(Oh yeah, Wei's engine is in and should be on the road soon too.)

someone else's pictures of my car since i'm too lazy

i need to change the plates but i love my gp sports knock off spoilerthose stickers from ebay are such crap. the silver lettering is made up of individual silver sticker lines which peel off with little effort. i put them on yesterday and my right sticker is down to "18"

maybe i'll get some full body pictures soon.

I already told you that you can't drop those plates. If some dumb VA bandwagon **** gets them I will hunt you down. =\
