Call quality is as good as any other phone I've ever used. I just dislike the phone interface. I can't tell you how many times I hit the wrong contact, it starts dialing, I go to cancel the call, hit the wrong button and it backs out to the desktop. Its quite comical really. I guess I just miss having real buttons to dial. But I love everything else too much to go back.ADDirishboy wrote:Problems with actually talking to people? I've heard stories of people who have difficulty hearing with it, but I haven't had any problems with mine.
It was, but only on T-mobile. About a week ago it sold out at the google store. Now, it doesn't look like the US-based consumers will be able to get their hands on it unless they are Android devs. Anyone who wants it now has to go CL/eBay or have it shipped from Europe I think.Jesda wrote:Is Nexus available with a contract yet?

The evo is perfect in size to people who aren't Thumbalina lolJesda wrote:
The Evo is too big to fit into my bike pouch and when I'm wearing basketball shorts its so heavy it tries to depants me. I like Escalades, but I don't want one in my pocket.
Keyboard FTW.
Its all good if you wear cargo pants.poems2beats wrote:The evo is perfect in size to people who aren't Thumbalina lolJesda wrote:

I have big fingers so the evo works for me...
launcher pro is the shiznit, y0. dis be my setup.A33 wrote:I just put LauncherPro on mine, which i'm liking better so far than the ADW Launcher that MoD mentioned. I didn't have anything against the home launcher that came with it but it wasn't very customizable and I didn't like the app drawer a whole lot after playing with it. I haven't downloaded swype yet but i'm gonna have to give it a try I think.

It rocks man, the more I use it the more I like it.RobPaulson wrote: launcher pro is the shiznit, y0. dis be my setup.
Oh i've been a Blackberry user for years up until this phone, my wife still has her Blackberry. My main reason for switching from Blackberry was the fact that whenever they change OS they won't let you upgrade it on most phones, which is very frustrating to me. Overall I like Blackberry products but I don't like being limited in what I can do with my phone. The new Torch does look like a nice phone but it's on AT&T so that's a deal breaker for me. Blackberry is an excellent business phone and is very reliable but on the other hand I haven't found a single thing yet that I miss from my Blackberry after making the switch.Catchmydriftwood wrote:I know it doesn't compare but I've been a Blackberry guy for years and was looking at the Torch online. Looks like the best Blacberry yet. Just not as good as the iPhone or Android phones. Anybody pick one up this week? Or is going to the Droid 2 the best bet? Oh, and please don't flame this loyal Crackberry user for a little brand loyalty.
The Evo is great, but the battery life is horribleA33 wrote:Well I returned my Samsung intercept Friday and swapped it for an EVO, I wish I would've got one in the first place. The intercept isn't bad for entry level I suppose but it couldn't handle most things outside of basic functions very well. The EVO rocks though, I can even do admin tasks on websites and has flash support. It's definitely is worth the extra coin for the difference in performance & functionality.
When is that expected to happen? Maybe I should return my Evo & wait?PoorManQ45 wrote:I'm currently waiting for the next generation phones to come out with Dual core ARM processors. Hopefully they revise the batteries at that point too!
