made a last minute decision the other day to go to NED. so i went and rented a trailer from taylor rentals for 65 bucks. loaded up the 240 after work and headed up there. car was fine before heading up there, everything was working ok.

get to NED and fail tech cuz of my kill switch not shutting off the car. apparently my brand new taylor switch decided bewteen taunton and NH that it didnt want to work anymore.

so great, i've rented a trailer, drove 2 hours from home and cant race because a piece of crap switch is broken. so i figured, what the hell, i'' go so if anyone has a spair they'll sell. after asking about 6 people i come across a family into the junior drag racing. they had an awesome setup. im talking double level trailer, the whole 9. anyways, they had a mr. gasket switch new in package sitting in they're huge tool box. offered the guy 25 bucks and it was mine. hehe. installed and finally passed tech.

sat in the lanes a bit and finally got to race and the outcome was an improvement over last year.

R/T: .61760': 2.304330: 5.9011/8: 8.778MPH: 84.981000: 11.2281/4: 13.252MPH: 111.95

I was only able to get one run in though. cuz of the switch incident. plus when i was in line for a second run, a car blew its motor down the track and the clean up time was gonna too long and would have gone past the 10:00 cerfew so they sent eveyone packing.

all in all, im happy with the results, considering it was only my second time racing and im driving on crappy used tires. lol. I still need more seat time to work on my reaction time and 60' time. after more seat time and better tires, i think i'll be doing pretty good.

You do know that RT has nothing to do with ET, right? Focus more on the 60' time, the RT will come down with experience.

Oh, get some tires!!!

Are you running an open diff?

Glad you found a switch. One thing I love about the people that go to the racetrack. When you're racing, it's on. When you're in the pits, everyone is friendly and willing to help.

yeah im gonna work on my 60' times. Im running a KAAZ lsd.

i def need tires. i was planning on having mickey thompson drag radials, but i was plagued with suspension problems. i had to replace my control arms and tension rods, so that ate into my tire fund.

next summer i'll be out with 15x8 weld wheels with the mickey's. :-)
