After nearly 2 years I got the electical system straightened out err... atleast managable. The sr turbo installed the origanal was DOA. Just installed the exhaust and will have tires mounted toworrow for the madian voyage. I bought the car with a rod in the engine bay that still had half of the rod bolts in it. I don't know how fast you have to spin a KA to do that but I bet it requires a down shift! The piston was still in the cylinder.

I just wanted to say thanks to the forum members for all the help and patience.

Sounds like my car. Except it's been over 2 years for my swap, and the rod was only about half way out of the block. But I agree this tiwwp

eh..my brother few years back did that. he didnt downshift just didnt change the oil and shifted at 7k rpm, one too many times. shattered the piston, shot the rod out the block in an 8 inch hole (entire side of the cylinder) snapped his crank girdle and gouged the **** out of the crank. good stuff. but good luck. i know it feels nice. took me about 2 years too..
