K&N is the only way to go. dont skimp for cheap. You get what you pay for in the car world.

A quick question from a noob in the car mod world, but what kind of sound change do you get from changing the intake?

I have been considering doing this on my car for the simple fact of cleaning up the engine compartment. That huge ugly plastic monstrosity of an air intake just bugs me every time I pop the hood. Im not cosidering it for a perfomrance boost or sound but cosmetics. But I am curious what kind of difference is there in sound, and any noticable change in performance?
