After about 2-3 years of being on this forum, I have finally decided to introduce myself and post pics of the 240...I guess. Anyways, it's a 93' 240sx completely stock, base model, auto... had about 127k miles on it when I got it back in 06'. Haven't been driving it cuz a blown head gasket from my pizza delivery days, lol. I picked it up off an young Japanese lady who bought it new in 94' and has babied it ever since... she gave me pages of service records because she said her dad was super strict about making her take care of it... it was kinda funny at the time. Anyways, I've been collecting parts over the years (5-spd swap, 5-lug hubs, rods, valves, BC cams... KA-T hopefully soon...) and will prolly make a build swap soon. Anyways, on to pics...Door Panels were off cuz I was installing 6x9's in the doorsOriginal factory paint

Well, that's pretty much it. I plan to go KA-T, just waiting on pistons and an AEM ECU and other misc. stuff. Other than that, this is a great forum and has so many resources... glad to be a part of it. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... s/hide.gif" BORDER="0">

Looking forward to seeing your KA-T build thread. I wanted to go KA-T also until I came upon a good deal on a SR.

You lucky son of a gun. Babied un-molested coupe. Gah i hate you. I feel ya man, pizza delivery can be brutal, i barely made enough tips to pay for gas last year. That's why I had a Honda for my dirty work :D

KAT KAT KAT

Are you going to AutoX, drag, drift, road warrior or just get a conventional job and DD it like a Balla'?

Wow, thanx for all the kind words. Car is going to be a weekend ride, it was my first car so I kinda baby it while I beat on my old datsun truck as a DD. I plan to keep a really clean stock appearance with maybe some OEM side skirts and some rims.

I plan some 300zx brakes up front with just some aftermarket pads in rear. Hopefully, I plan to get some tanabe sustec pro 5's... Just gotta keep up with the search. Also, thinking about painting the car like a flat or satin color... thinking like an olive green but more green or a midnight blue.

Quick update, finished the inside of my garage with insulation, lights, and paint for the walls... Now i have my space to work (so happy). The car has been sitting in my garage while I'm doing my 5spd swap...Just waiting on a new clutch and some hardware. (My co-pilot Dookie waiting to cruise for the b****es,lol .) Out with the old auto trans... I hated that thing...I took out the dash so I could cover the whole floor in sound deadner (I kno it's a lot of weight, but this car is more of a weekend cruiser, plus a rattling car when the bass is up is disgusting), plus gave me a chance to clean all the plastic inside ac/heater boxes for some fresh air while Dookie and I cruise.Carpet back in...Also got a chance to do the digital dash/climate control swap...Everything works including all the door modes for the fan box thing, and I have the HUD on the dash set up, but I forgot the pics. Then, I got these in a trade JIC Magic FLT-A1's plus a j30 VLSD not pictured...Haven't put them on the car yet because I might sell them (I need a clutch kit to finish my swap, so I'd rather be able to drive then to have a dropped car at the moment). So pretty much that's all for now as I wait for my clutch... Oh yeah, I have an alum. Koyo radiator and dual fans waiting to be dropped in when I stop being lazy. My KA was overheating before I parked it, so hopefully the radiator/fans fix that... maybe a new thermostat too for good measure. I was planning a KA-T setup, I have BC forged rods, cams, BC valves, BC valve springs/retainers, oil pump kit, silicone hoses... I need an ECU, pistons, bearing and a couple other things. Most likely the KA-T is going to be the last thing... as I focus on suspension and wheels. I've been eyeing the Volk RE30(?) So that's it for now, I'll post up more pics of the 5spd swap and interior when I get my clutch and everything is running. Here are some pics of my daily while my coupe is up on jacks... 1973 Datsun 620I love this truck (and RWD Datsuns/Nissans in general), it's has the original drivetrain but the piston rings are going bad and I'm starting to lose a little bit of my horsepower, all 97 of them lol. But it does the job and is super reliable, other than a failing motor ha ha. So that's it for now. Thanks for looking

It's not that hard bro, but you gotta take out the dash to do it right and get the carpet of the transmission hump/tunnel. So I guess it more a PITA if anything.

Thanks, the Datsun is really fun to drive since it's small... Plus gas mileage is awesome... something like 22-28mpg in the city. They did make 4X4's but they are like late 70's up untill Nissan bought Datsun... I think.

Update: Car is up and running, I received my clutch kit after waiting for a minute, stage 2 act heavy duty... nothing fancy.Installed on the KAAfter installing the clutch kit, I realized that the cheap flywheel i got awhile back didn't fit because the starter gears weren't reaching the ring gear on the flywheel... I guess it came back to bite me in the a** So i bought one of these...transmission ready to be dropped in..Transmission inTook the old radiator out, also replaced the water pump and checked the thermostat to see if it was still good.Replaced the old radiator with a aluminumRadiator in with some ricer red silicone hoses, should have looked for black ones.picked up some fans too, but I'm still waiting on a controller, so it's not on right at the moment. Was having trouble with the digital cluster staying on when it wasn't supposed to, took it apart and fixed itPicked up some chuki sideskirts, authentic but driver side is primered black and needs a little work. Still have to mount them.Ah... finally collected all the 5spd interior parts, rockin' the busted leather for the moment.Interior shot, still have to put the ac vents in and mount the sunlight sensor for the DCC.So that's pretty much it for now. I put the JIC Coils on the car (still have to get a pic) and they ride nice an comfy but I need to get my swaybars on so I can enjoy the coils to the fullest and have a stiff ride. I was having an overheating problem before I did my 5spd swap, and I think the water pump was the culprit... so since the new pump and 130 miles of driving I haven't had any heat issues, just that the temp. needle on the cluster is near the H but nothing abnormal, just kinda high. I guess i need to bleed the cooling system more.

Thanks, the DCC wasn't that hard to install. Hardest part was re-pinning one of the main plugs to match with the USDM harness. But it's totally worth it, and it looks really clean at night. Only thing is, you lose your dimming switch unless you can figure out to how to wire it in.
