Just thought I'd share my mod this afternoon... I bought my Motordyne 5/16 spacers a while back from http://www.shopjspec.com/ when there was a group buy discount and i finally got around to installing it today. It took me much longer than it should have but I was going slow making sure I didn't miss anything. After installing and resetting the throttle, gas pedal, etc the car feels so much better. I can't believe I put it off for this long. I definitely feel the power difference in the lower RPMs and also hear the difference in sound. I would have taken pics while installing but my hands were super dirty and I was trying to beat the sun... I can show pics of what it looks like completed heh

Does it make a great deal of difference?

Well done! Now, take a few days to flog the car and make love to it the way you have never done before . I say this because, the ECU of the G-35 takes a little more time to re-adjust to intake modifications than it does with exhaust modifications. You should see an improvement in gas mileage--car should run just a little leaner---no issues at all but i would advise you to switch to a synthetic type of oil, if you haven't done so for improved temperature regulation as a result of light lean conditions. Comeback in a few days and tell us how your G loved your performance in bed . If you don't spank her, she won't scream.

Do you have to reset throttle after install spacer? I didn't reset mine. I look up in DIY section but couldn't find of how to reset it.

Yep! Generally if you touch the intake system from the throttle body down to the plenums, the G will beg for a reset. Stevethetech or SBD will chime in soon and probably offer you the complete reset procedure. I printed one out and put it in my glove compartment.

Instead of flogging your G for the next few weeks, just perform the ECU, and Volume learning procedures in the tech pages section.

I got an instant change after doing both.

Brent,

Let me know if you want me to do yours. I've done mine twice. First time was a piece of cake. Second time I had to redo 3 out of the 4 procedures.

Nate:

I would agree! You know how I am, I like to do things the old fashioned way. A guy like me who has no cellphone but has a G with bluetooth technology, isn't going to go all technical with the G I have no idea how cellphones work and i couldn't tell anyone what each button on it does. I usually feel like fish out of water when someone hands me a cell phone to dial and call my office or my boss--i am usually lost.
