Here it is. Not the best pics. Better ones to come. I’ve had these rims in my basement, waiting for winter to be over. I’m happy how it looks. The tires are Falken Ziex ZE-512, 255/50/16. The tires are a little wide for the rims, but still looks good. The steering and handling has firmed up a bit. A little harsh ride, but that’s the local NJ roads. All in all, I’m happy I did the upgrade. I’d like to thank the Hitman for giving me an excellent deal on the rims last year, by the way, I hope your wife is doing better, and I like to thank everyone that gave me tire advice last week. Hope you guys like it.

Nope, this Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. We were there for the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Hey, the wheel gap's not that bad.

Glad you guys like the rims, now if I could get rid of the scraches on the paint, I'd be set.

They're chrome - no need for polish.

Looks good, and don't let Wes give you any static on the ride height. He claimed he loved his "granny ride" when he had his old Q, now that the BAD Q 's lowered, it's the only way to go .

Reducing suspension travel is not beneficial if one drives on anyhting less smooth than a billiard table.

It's telling that all the ride height critics comments apply to the appearance to stationary cars. All I can say is get a model and you can make it look as kewl as you please.

I prefer my cars to perform in the real world.

Brian, you didn't get to see or ride in my car, but 2" drop, KYB shocks, great ride, even on the crap roads of L.A. You'll never hear me talk about stationary appearance, that's what I collect die-cast for, my car works perfect in the real world.

Lou, the car looks sweet! I think those wheels really go with the car.

I agree.. The ride with the lowering springs isnt that much worse.. With the bigger wheels, sway bars, and tokico's/eibachs makes the car ride like it was meant to... Considering what my current Q intentions is with the setup it is currently it is very plush... The old Q rode much nicer but I was riding on piepans with soft sidewalled tires.. I loved that car, the rear sway bar would have been great..

Sure things wear out, but i can spare $250 every 30-40k for shocks and have a nicer looking car!!!!! Really, I just dont like how the car looks all hiked up in the rear, the fender gap doesnt bother me... I think if you just lowered the rear so that the car would sit level itd be perfect..

Very nice! Congratulations!

I have to admit I do not like the look of lowered cars, but that is a personal issue for me. I do not know how the handling would be affected, but that is secondary.

Try to tell that to yahoos in Seattle, We got so many paved streets scraped by car's "lowered" ride that it is hard to imagine what could happen if you lower soimething as heavy as Q45 and then give it a good ride up and down in Seattle downtown I want to see a lowered just "1 inch" Q45 belly after Quote » IF YOU LET ME DRIVE IT FOR YA[/quote] an extensive drive around town! All I need it good wet traction tires and I am all set. If I could get stock height stiffer springs and stiffer sway bars, I'd go for it!But all that is offered out there is to lower your ride. So, I 'll stop searching for a "perfect" L K and enjoy the ride as it is!I've played enough with suspension set-ups that will last me a lifetime

I gotta say lowered Q's look sweet as hell but IMHO I have to agree with Max, I dropped a chevy truck one time and couldn't wait to get rid of it. My dentist, urologist, proctologist and chiropracter hated to see it go.

This is one of the smoothest rides I've ever experienced (and I have cracked tension rod bushings). I couldn't bring myself to mess with that ride, but then again I'm the guy who is too skeered to "floor it".

Yea, I know what you mean. I hate those really ricey Jap compacts that are almost in the wheel well and tons of negative camber. Yuck! I don’t like too much wheel gap, but none looks bad too. As far as me lowering my Q, I'm done. I've spent too much on my Q this past year as it is. Just scheduled maintenance for now and that’s it.
