ssv of course after saving more money. But I was looking at the spacer and the new plenum, and they both seem to cost pretty much the same from where I've been looking. What do you guys recommend?

You're going to get a lot of different answers from a lot of different people.

I prefer and purchased the SSV. Reasons: sound, performance, looks, AND it shaves weight.

The end.

i got the 5/16th spacer and i love it

but really they all do the same thing... i picked the spacer for ease of install, because i didnt want to mess with the throttle body. if you a DIY type person i would recommend the 5/16th spacer.

and which ever you pick,, make sure a torque wrench is used to install it.

5/16 Motordyne spacer and MREV2 together at the same time.

Only if the OP has a 6mt, otherwise, ditch the MREV2. The gains aren't worth the price and the difference between it and a non-rev up lower plenum are SMALL.

Here's a plenum mod shootout. Supposedly done by Nissan Sport Magazine:

Looks like the only one that lost HP is the angled spacer (was this the Skunk2?) all the others were pretty similar. The SSV isn't listed, unforunately.

My understanding is that the SSV is great for FI, but not a huge benefit for N/A.

EDIT:

Kinetix has a revised SSV called the Velocity Manifold with peak gains of 30 hp! I want one!

I know it's a pretty cliche question but would Infiniti give me s*** for having the new plenum? I'm thinking Kintetix plenum.

Should I order kintetix plenum and spacer, or is the spacer entirely not needed after installing the new plenum

This is a hit and miss situation. If you randomly start having idle and/or lean/rich issues after installing the plenum, then Infiniti will probably give you hell about it.

If you window regulator goes out, they probably won't blink an eye.

There's a law that prevents the car manufacturer from denying your warranty claim based on aftermarket parts unless they can prove that the aftermarket parts were the cause. On the flip side, I've read of dealers who see highly modified Gs and deny the claim before even looking into it.

I have heard the only way to get gains with the SSV is to tune it. It flows a lot more air but if you are NA a lot of HP is based on velocity and not just volume. Hence the reason that spacers larger than 1/2" start losing power.
