finally got warn hubs

finally got warn hubs!! install was easy and the QX feels better already.... its nice to not have to worry about the CV boots ever cracking prematurely again - and i got a nice MPG increase!! Before, i used to get 12-15 mpg. This weekend I recorded 17 mpg, my new record!!!

(PS one more question - should i have used locktite?? i torqued everything to spec...)

When I replaced them on my Pathfinder I didn't. Glad you got it done!! I was surprised how easy it was too!!

in a perfect world we would use Loctite on everything. in this world, i wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I never used Loctite on my studs when I installed my hubs a year and a half ago, havent had any problems since.

the OEM hub is pretty much indestructable, however, it is a locked drive flange so that means your axles are turning even when in 2wd. So that puts wear and tear on the axles and axle boots, which are a PAIN IN THE a** to replace.

Also, if you snap an axle with stock hubs, you either need to replace axle on the spot or get towed on a flatbed.

If you break an axle with warn hubs, you unlock the hub and drive home!
