Post

if you read the earlier post i've been having some problems with my air/fuel ratio.

i got a fuel pressure gauge installed and adjusted the fpr to 43.5 with the vacuum line off. plugged it back in and the car runs nice now. but my air/fuel gauge still shows the "---" and is bouncing between 16.1 and 17.9 at idle. i found out it is a wideband and the car has a skyline gt-r fuel pump.

at idle is the wideband supposed to show that and drop down when its under load or could a vacuum leak cause it (ex-bad ic coupling or small hole in hose somewhere) or the fuel pump?

i have factory injectors (i assume) their gray topped.

im new to this whole awesome world of the sr20det. any help i dont have to pay for is freaking awesome

thanks in advance

First, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Second, word your question more clearly. I took the extra effort to look up your previous post, and piece together just what the hell you're asking.

Your idle is too high. If you can't adjust it lower using the IACV adjustment, or ecu adjustment, then a vac leak is likely. You say you have a wideband. Did you install it ? How are you sure it's a wideband ? Assuming it is, the "---" reading is way lean. That could be a big vac leak at idle. Could be a fuel problem too, but lets work on one thing at a time.

But how does the car run under load ? Does it buck, hesitate, pop ? Does it build boost normaly ? Why not pressure test your piping ? (don't just look at it to find a leak)
