Finally got the engine and trans back in and now a new issue

Well as on other topics i've asked questions as i went along with replacing seals and such. to break it down new timing and idle pulleys, new knock sensor with new cable, new egr valve and tube due to breaking the old one (cheap a** pot metal), new seals top to bottom, a new transmission (used from LKQ automotive), and replaced the stock fan with a electric one.

Well i got it all in and finally got the hood back on at about 3am in the morning lol, i take it for a drive and i notice from a dead stop i have sluggish power, it actually surges some up and down (I can take off and it has very little power and i just keep my foot on the gas like 1/4 way and it starts to surge a bit until 3k and then acts fine), and this is only from a dead stop, i can be cruising at 30mph and punch it and it works fine. Now before i had sluggish power but it was always anytime under 3k, no matter what gear i was in. And i knew the knock sensor what the issue, but now i have a new one and new wire and it's only doing it from a dead stop, I'm seeing on other post that it points to a bad knock sensor but mines new! grrrrr and it's acting differently then from the old for sure bad knock sensor.

I'm seeing this won't cause a engine light to pop up from what i've read, is this for sure true? I can drive tomorrow and see if i have any codes after i get home but this is gonna really blow if it's that sensor again... i wishing i would of relocated it now... can this be any thing else causing it? And i'm gonna admit right now i did buy the sensor off ebay but my luck i would get a dud just cause it's me ughhh

Well any other possibility's you all might think of please let me know, i'm so grr right now i put so much money into this car and labor to have a problem show right up....

Ok so I did the resistor trick and walla no more sloppy acceleration, I'm pissed this is a new sensor and it doesn't work go figure.....

Edit: i posted this reply from my phone at work earlier and didn't have time to post the question i had. So here i go.

I was wondering what the possibility could be that maybe the knock sensor aint bad itself. Maybe the wire? The wire is brand new and i bought it from infiniti but the sensor i got off ebay... ugh. i was pondering that maybe it's a ecu thing but the resistor trick is working perfectly so i kinda ruled that out now. Though what gave me that concern is that I noticed when i first started it up with the engine had just being run. it didn't have the issue but after like my second stop then go the sloppy power came back. Is there like a grace period before the ecu kicks in and retards it? i'm gonna whip out my meter tomorrow and see what reading i get from the connector going to the sensor it self. I just hate the fact i had the whole engine out and replaced that part and now i'm having that issue, i don't wanna have to take the engine back out and if it is the sensor then i'm relocating it, hopefully i can tug the new wire out with out breaking it so i don't have to drop another 40$ on that damn wire.

ANy other ideas on what could cause that sensor to not work right please let me know!

Any chance you over tightened/cracked the sensor ??
As it heats up a crack will expand.

maybe i did, Maybe cause it was a after market one? i know sometimes you get what you pay for but idk. It is just a sensor though, nothing fancy.

idk but i just posted a new topic on a subject of pulling the wire out of the connector hole cause i'm relocating it this time and should i buy a factory oem one? or would a aftermarket do just as good? i found one for like 17$ on ebay but then i found OEM ones for 50$. Of course this time it will be up top relocated so i'll be able to put it in asap and see if it works and if not, get my monies back! lol
