Finally got the cash to buy my SR, but have a question

Finally got all the cash I need to buy an SR and do what I want to do to it, now the scary part, Ive never bought a motor abroad and im a lil nervous about spending all this money and something happening like getting a dud, if someone out the is generous enogh to point me in the right direction of where to buy one itd be appreciated, please fell fee to post as many importers as you guys know of that are reputable so I can check them out, sorry for sounding like a newb or asking something thats probably been covered before I just want to get a good motor, its a big step for me and I appreciate the help, thanks

got my s14 sr20det from japan star motors. $2300 shipped. came with sr, transmission, red wc ecu, uncut upper and lower harness, ignitor chip, maf, turbo and all that other stuff, even got the boost solenoid and whatever that other thing is that mounts to the bracket with solenoid and ignitor. I have to get harness repined yet but after swapping it in we did a compression test just for the hell of it and without the engine being warmed up, or having the battery hooked to a charger, it was at about 120 on each cylinder. I think my battery was super low cuz it had sat for a good while without being ran. Later i hooked a charger to the battery and let it charge for a good while and redid the test and it jumped to around 150 on each one. I think its in decent shape considering the numbers look ok and i would expect them to be even better once i get it running and let it warm up. Clean engine though and every thing was there with it, everything looks good so far so i would consider japan star motors. I havent heard any horror stories about them. I was in your shoes about a month ago. good luck

Try searching for SR20 importers or w/e and find some, theres a thread on here somewhere with everyones review on all different companies

I used JDM-Online.com and Nesar treated me great! Engine was in good shape and theyre pretty nice over there, got mine for $2100 shipped
