So...got the new tires/wheels today. Tirerack is awesome...everything came ready to go. Mount, torque, drive. Beautiful.

So now...to drop or not to drop. I'm thinkin of too drop. If I do go through with it...what are my options? I keep seeing that Tein H-Tech works and then I also keep seeing that it doesn't? Can someone provide one clear answer. Can AWD M's use RWD springs? Period.

I'd rather get the Tein's as they are MUCH cheaper than Espelirs. But I don't want no bump stop issues, etc. or have to cut stuff, etc.

Nice, deffinetly better looking than oem wheels but yeah drop her down a bit and the wheels will stand out more.

It's still for sale. I needed new tires anyway, and there is no sense in installing new tires on bent rims as the tires will wear poorly.

However, it's a hard car to sell because no many people know about it or something.

Yeah, I just need to know if H-Tech will fit my car 100% without having to cut stuff (like bump stops, etc.).

I never read on here that cutting bump stops was a requierment only a method used to go a little lower in the rear. The only thing I know about for X version M's is that coilovers have to be made for them since the front uses a special mounting bracket compared to RWD's

Oh okay, that's what that was for? For some reason I thought it was part of the install. Thanks for clearing that up Mexillis.

now you have to be extra careful with your new rims (less tire compared to your stocks) if you bent your stock rims w/taller tires, you gotta be more focused on the road ahead...

...the rims look good btw...I think a mild drop will set it off nicely...

Espelirs are in the works.

Also, I hear that some OEM wheels are weak as hell. I baby this car like crazy. I used to drive a lowered Maxima and I drive this car the same way...meaning avoid pot holes at all costs, etc.

I think these will hold up better. They seem of pretty sturdy build.

I think the rims look good, imo def better over non-sport stock rims. I am partial to my sport rims though.
I think a slight drop would prolly look really good-granted the x's sit a little higher than non-x's.

I am struggling about the whole drop thing too (little bit better look and handling vs cost)--also contemplating the R2C CAI + UpRev, and don't want to go too low that I start scraping...I just put on the front lip a few months ago and at a lot of places I just barely fit over the curb/sidewalk/parking stop.

I'm partial the 19" Sports too lol (freakin love them). BUT...they are MORE expensive for mint ones than these after market wheels AND their offset on the AWD M sucks. +50 makes them WAY sunken in. I'd need to get spacers, etc. etc.

I think I'll just go with Espelirs.
