I just took these pictures tonight! Some of them didn't turn out that great because it was dark out. I am going to try and get some when it is daylight tomorrow! tell me what you think!

Here is the list of what I have done:

-Blue LED back up lights and Turn signals

-170 Watt 6000k Xenon headlights

-Kenwood MDX-MP4030 mp3/cd player hooked up to stock bose speakers and amps

-JBL 1200.1 Amplifier with push button turn on hooked up to 2 12 inch Infinity Perfects

-Custom Nose guard

......To be done within the next year....:

Exhaust, CIA, ECU, Blue LED's for all interior lights

Hey Zinkie13,

Love the trunk of your Q.

I was thinking of putting the Kenwood MDX-MP4030 in my I30 too. I had a few questions that maybe you could answer.

1. Does it work well with the Stock Bose Speakers? I know the Bose speakers are amplified and their impedence is also lower than what most recievers can deliver. Does that make a difference ?

2. What Harness did you use?

3. Did it fit perfectly in place of the old Bose reciever?

Hope you can Enlighten me.

Thanks.LoveMyI

I like what you've done. Here's a peculiar question... is there a way to make the tail lights on my 92 Q look bright, clear, specific, and sharp like the LED lights on the G35?

I also love the lights on the spoiler of a Cadillac Seville.

Thanks,-Jesda

There is a company, that makes LED tail lights for street rods. You can get a generic plate, and cut it to fit your lense. I think you will have to cut open the light fixture, to install it, but if you could get one to fit the lense shape, it would look cool. Try looking in a Street Rodder magazine. You will see the ad.

I have been thinking of that same mod, on my '94.

I am getting these LED lights for my old truck. (Talk about poor lighting)

You can get led bulbs for that will fit anything. If you are looking for brightness and clarity then LED's are the way to go.

LOVEMY I.....I love my Player! it works great with the bose speakers. The wiring harness was actually about 60 dollars. Since the bose speakers run at a lower impedance, you actually have to get a harness that will convert the power output of the reciever. Each speaker in the car is individually amplified, so all the bose head unit actually sent was a signal, just like RCA wires. The unit fit perfectly and looks great. I am going to try and get some daylight pictures soon! I will look up the exact part number for the wiring harness you will need. What year I30 do you have and i will find it for you!

Jesda, speaking of Seville's, that was my last car! Haha....went from seville to Q45.

Thanks for the comments.

looks great.you'll get busted for the blues everywhere, i think, but its great how in stuff like Crutchfield they sell the colored headlight and tail bulbs and then in very fine print it says "these are for show purposes only, do not pass DOT restrictions."

But then again, what kind of person would buy car accessories from Crutchfield?

I like the reverse lights! Is there a place to get some hyperwhite or Xenon side marker lights for the J30? If so, what web site, and what model bulb. I am refering to the parking lights (the ones that butt up to the projector headlight assembly). I added some XD5 Xenon bulbs, and the old yellow ones look very yellow next to the new hyperwhite headlights.

Thanks, -Rob 93 J30

Any 5W wedge will fit, you can solve the problem of mismatched color easily by switching to an amber wedge. Most every car with HIDs has amber corners anyway.

All you need is a Line Level converter to convert the signal from the head unit to low level inputs that the B[L]ose speakers need for the built in amplifier that resides in the trunk. All You need is a Peripheral Product called VEN4.5 http://peripheralelectronics.c...emium

15%? Thats light. I have 5% all around on my Q45 and 35% on the whole front windshield. Make sure you find a quality tint man that can do your back window in 1 whole piece of tint. Strips of tint is just too 80's!

15 is light? hmmm......is it hard to see with 5 percent? And yes, the tint man does the back window in one piece.

Only problem there is 35% is legal limit for front driver & passenger in Indiana & nothing but a strip across top of windshield is allowed. I believe rear passenger & rear window anything is allowed. That's unless the laws have changed recently.

Yeah.....they don't really inforce that law though! I have decided to go with 5% all the way around. I have looked through a few of my friends windows that have it and i really like it! O yeah....and if anyone on the forum has seen a trunk flip kit on ebay DON"T BUY IT! I installed it the other day...and then had to take it off because it lifted the trunk lid up enough to break the seal. 6 hours of uneeded work....and almost destroyed my back window by putting metal chips into it. BIG MISTAKE

Anything that sells on Ebay in mass quantities such as the 8.00 Q45 superchager, flip-trunk kits and Cd service manual are ALL to be avoided.
