This is my husband's car. After many frustrating attempts to enter addresses into the stock navigation system on his '07 Z, one click at a time, we finally swapped out the system for a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT. We also had a little fiasco with trying to do the carbon fiber over the center dash, but they made good and replaced it with the stock plastic.

He couldn't just leave a big hole where the original navi was, so he got another screen for DVD playback. The shop did a pretty good job of making the frame around the screen. I personally don't think you need another screen, but maybe it's a guy thing. He also had a backup camera installed, so that is displayed on the upper and lower screen. He found a way to display the backup view on the navi system and play a movie on the upper screen. Why? I don't know.

The F90BT is great, especially the bluetooth feature. He has a convertible and the sound quality is better than any of the headsets he's tried. The display screen is a little small though. Does anyone know if the navi display can somehow be routed to the upper screen as well?

Anyway, what do you think of the new set up?

looks...

ballin I guess, i kinda like the little cubby door though.

You better hope that's the last screen installed in the z, where I'm from installing a second screen in a vehicle is like a gateway drug to putting about 5 more somewhere in the car; whether it be under the hood or in the gas tank.

I didn't think he had the option of having one of those cubby doors installed (like my '03). How could that have been accomplished? Could we have ordered the plastic for an older model? Would it have fit? I think he does like the second screen though.

I'll keep a tighter reign on him so the screen virus does not spread to his side mirrors or something.

haah

you'd be surprised to see how quick he would want more screens in, the symptoms include the following in order.

-denial of wanting more screens ever again (alot)-constant wandering eye to different places of the car (most likely potential candidates for next placement of screenz.)-often speaking about how cool it would be to watch FIVE channels at the same time from the driver's seat.- often ending a spouseful no-way-out argument with, "Well this never would have happened if I had a few more screens in the car."
