After 4 months of them sitting in my office, staring at me, taunting me, my wheels are finally on .

Car: 98 Q45t

Mod's: Tint,CIMA Grand Touring grille, Custom low mounted front plate,Tein S-Tech springs, PIAA 7200k bulbs (bright wite/purple ala BMW HID's), OZ Italy wheels 18x8 and 18x9, Tires Nankang NSII -235/40-18 and 245/40-18, GIGA 2 Air Spencer.

Maintenance:Amsoil flush and fill w/ the best oil on the planet,2 O2's,New Alt,Air Filter,Cabin air filters.

The tires should make everyone happy, front's have a 95 load and rears are 97. Nice tread, and unbeatable price from a vendor I design for, AZA Forged . Car is smooth and solid, great ride (shocks and struts will be replaced w/in a few months). I absolutely love this car, and I now think I have the best looking Q45t in all of L.A. Ahhh, so in love, so in love

Now, some pics: (just a sample, for the rest click my Nico Gallery link in sig)

VERY NICE... If I must say so, they should have made the T models just like that from the factory!

Thanks for the replies!! Wes, I agree, but heh, they didn't want to sell them to anyone but grand parents here . Got to have that eye to see the beauty within just waiting to come out, and now I have a truely unique 2nd gen Q and unique car all together. I was on the fwy Saturday, pulled along a M5 and he had this "what the heck is that?" look. I love that.

I want to share my new rims with you guys too. I just wish that I have Kevin's Tein spring set. The Eibach's I put on my car won't bring it down low enough for the 18" (I think).

Kevin, if you have access to a set Tein springs and/or shocks and struts from Japan please let me know. Thanks.

By the way, nice car!

Insace someone else want to put wheels on a 2nd gen,my wheels are 18x9 all around w/ 24mm offset, front tires 245/45/18, rear tires 275/45/18. They fit perfectly and flush with the fenders.

That's SICK, too.

I love black wheels, and black cars, and I really really like them together.

Oh my God.

D, those are SO sweet. Black with the polished lip is gorgeous... Those wheels, with Kevin's grille, would be the ULTIMATE 2nd-Gen (IMO).

Heh, I already have the ultimate 2nd-Gen !! IMO

D, I can get you springs and probably shocks, though they are more a pain to get than springs. I like your ride. You put some really wide tires on back, I would have gone with different width wheels though, like 9 in front and 10 in back since you went with such a difference in tire size (245 f and 275 r). Email me about the springs [email protected]

Personally, I have to say the stock grilles is better. Why go with a grille for the lesser turbo-charged V6 model, unless that is what you really want?

Are you serious? I mean, to each their own, and no offense to anyone who likes it but I've thought from day one the stock grille looked like POOP with its 85 verticle lines. The grille I have, in my opinion, is at least 300x better looking. Even the guys at the Inifinit dealer said it looked much better than the stock grille. You can't please everyone, but it sure as heck pleases me.

The stock grille looks more upscale, the GT grille looks sportier and sleeker. Matter of preference.

Yeah, JDM Tyte - yo!! The logo pop's off easily, but I personally like it. It actually says Grand Touring with a blue and red stripe behind the words and the car is a Q45 Touring, so I figure it works. One thing I like is that virtually everyone that sees the car has to walk around back to see what she is.

I went to a hot-rod show at Ricky and Ronnies drive in diner for their grand opening last Tuesday night (I'll be there tonight too and hopefully they won't sell out of food again!!) and I was completely humbled by the number of people that were checking out my car. That's something I did not expect; a bunch of American muscle gear heads checking out my car. There were about 100 cars, rat-rods, 50's, 60's, Harleys and I got respect there. I was actually nervous about pulling in the lot at first!! Needless to say I can't wait till tonight to show up with the new wheels on.

Kev.... I think your car would look REALLY slick with it debadged... No Q45 on it, just the infiniti logo and the INFINITI lettering.....

Wes, too bad I already shaved off the INFINITI letters like 3 months ago !! (Look at the rear pic again) When I was doing that I was planning to shave off Q45t too, but stood back and decided I liked it just like that.

Exactly. The 245 and 275 would look perfect on a 8.5 and 9.5. But in order to make they both flush with the fenders, I need to have a 20mm offset for the 8.5 and 35mm offset for the 9.5. It's difficult to get a set like that withiin my price range so I went with the 9 inch all around. Maybe there'll be a perfect set later wait for me on eBay.
