It took me some time to post this, but it's true. I finally got my Versa. I picked it up on 9-29-2007 from Colorado Springs, Colorado and drove it back home to California.

It was a fun trip. I did it in about 24 hours. 18 of them was driving, 2 was for food/gas stops and 4 was for sleep.

I must say I loved driving on the highways in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada. Everyone on the highway actually drives correctly; passing on the left and driving mostly on the right. Every state had a welcome to sign posted along the highway besides California, but I knew I was back in my home state when I saw someone go from the far left lane across 2 other lanes to take an exit in one bound.

So far I only have one picture of my car taken with my cell phone. I plan on taking some better photos this coming weekend.

Congrats on the new V! I have to ask...why did you have to go so far away to buy one?

He had VERY SPECIFIC wants and it took him FOREVER (I'm guessing lik 6-8 months if I remember correctly) to even FIND one in that configuration. When he finally did...and it was a bajillion miles away...rather than pay to have it shipped to CA...he decided a road trip would be a fun way to bond with his new wheels!

You can see what type of Versa he bought in his signature...

BillyBeaneBall has the story right. If you want to read about my long journey trying to get my car it's all in this thread:

zer...age=1

The trip was just under 1300 miles and currently i have about 1350 on it.
