It took about 4 months for them to get here but I finally have my new plates for my G. I was kind of surprised that they were still available, but who am I to argue...? I think they are cool, what do you think?

Awesome!

I ordered mine from WDOT. Some prisoner will be stamping them soon.

1 BAD G

I was surprised it was still available. I figured get it now, and the badness will come in due time.

Weird thing is that these aren't stamped. The everyday plates you get here in Colorado actually have the numbers / letters stamped out. These personalized plates are just printed. Up close they look like they could have been printed on an old dot matrix printer . I was kind of surprised about that, especially after waiting so long. But at least I have them now.

The temporary plates that I had were '636 OLD'... Even if I wasn't sure about the personalized plates before seeing 'OLD' on my G, that would have been the kicker. 'OLD' had to go

Thanks. The rims are 20x8.5 Zinik Z18 Minardi's. Got them from Tirerack.com with some Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 245/35ZR20. Picked up the car at the end of February, and put the new rims/tires on early March. I've been loving them ever since.

No offense but since you asked for opinions-I'm not really a fan of personalized plates that state the obvious (Same thing with license plate frames that say same thing as rear body emblems). I mean you already have your emblem on the back. This is probably why G35X was still available as a vanity plate. Looking at your plate and the fact that you reside in CO - I would have suggested SNOW G, MOUNT G, ALLWHEEL, 4WHEEL G, TRACTION, CO Z G. ( I think throwing in the Z as a reference is cool too)

For me there are only a couple of things not to put on a vanity plate like:Exact model of car - one possible exception - would be 911 for a porsche - but it would have to be just - 911 no other lettersOwners name and Exact model of car Fly Girl or Hot Girl (if you are not a fly or hot girl) - same with cutie etc. Red G (if your G is red) - insert your favorite color here. And so on.

A vanity plate for me is the opportunity to say something unique, catchy, imaginative etc. That plate itself is nice with the mountain graphic and the way G35X is centered - I just think the message on the vanity should be more VAIN

The other thing you could consider and would look hot with your plate as it is - would be to remove the rear "INFINITI" and " g35X" badges - leaving just the emblem. The 2007 rear end is so sweet that removing those emblems would enhance the look - now your plate tells everybody all they need to know.

I don't plan on getting a vanity plate on my G but if I did I think I would go with something like BIG Z, NO Z G, TKT GZ,

Gimli G35.

You noticed the gap in the front fender. Does the G35X sit higher than the rear drive Gs? This could explain it. Makes sense that an all wheel drive car would have higher ground clearance.
