Timing off? Fuel flow problem? Running too rich? Spark plug gap off? Loose plug wire? Vacuum leak?

You need to be a little more specific. Who installed the engine? What was done to it prior to install?

this has happened to me twice, just immediately after ive put a motor in.

i had a perfectly running car whne i pulled the motor. but when i would put it back in, like to do a clutch or just a swap, it would run like ***.

sometimes fuel injectors just die randomly, it happed to me twice. check the resistance across the injectors for 11 or 12 ohms.

then check to see the plug wires are in the correct order, that happens all the time too

then make sure the distributor timing is decently on

and if thats still no go, then you gotta check cam timing, and possibly compression unfortunately.

but in all honesty, i think you mihgt have had an injector spontaneously die. it sounds weird, but like i said, it happens.

I really wish they'd have just used top-feed injectors on the KA. Side-feed is such a pain in the ***.

If you just took out one injector, push the injector as far as you can in by hand (make sure the O rings are in good shape, and you'll probably want to put some grease on them), then put that metal cap thing over the injector loosely and then put the screws through. Then just start evenly tightening down the screws; it'll take the injector in with it.

first check for vac leaks, as those large orings can sometimes get caught when you tighten the rail back in.

but that almost never causes a high idle probl, i just want you to check for vac leaks. get a tube of appropriate length, like 1.5 - 2 feet. put it up to your ear and listen around anywhere where a leak could be.

ubt if its all good idle can be adjusted in a few ways. there is a screw at the back of the lower manifold. this is part of the iacv. you can turn this in or out

or you put your throttle cable on poorly and its always holding the throttle open a little.

or there is a little bit of carbon trapped under the throttle plate

or, if youve removed all the emmisions crap idle is adjusted by the stop screw on the throttle body itself. if you dont know what im talking about, this is the incorrect solution.

is no one impressed i somehow diagnosed the problem by him saying:

"it went bloh bloh bloh bloh bloh, out the muffler"

actually it was the shaking. but still comeon, first try too.

I'm impressed a lil bit, I'd be more impressed with your new mannifold. :wink dont tell evryone how I adjust my idle. Its funny cause only the iacv worked a little bit when plugged/unplugged.

ha, ****in sweet then. good to hear nismo, and you'll get the hang of it in about two days.

neverlift:ive given my plate to my guy, and he showed it to a programmer who says they can handle it, so the steps are in motion for my mani.

i havent touched yours yet.... the only decision i really need from you is: should i keep runner diameter approximately that of stock? Or im just going to pick a readily available size, eg. 1.5 inch or something.
