I picked the car up on Monday night, after I traded for my 91 integra. I cleaned it up waxed it twice, and changed the plugs, wires, d-cap, rotor, and the fuel filter. I also bought a PCV valve, but I could not find out where it goes, because the Chilton’s manual sucks. I want a Haynes, but I can find one. The only major problem with the car that I have is the idle, and hesitation. Sometimes it idles good, other times, its horrible, rises and drops, then when I am driving, it hesitates, at 3krpm’s in third gear for example, and I can feel it missing throughout the driving range. It’s annoying. There is this AIV valvey thing, but I dunno where it is, because Chiltons sucks, and many other things that I have to check just to get it to run right. I am getting the oil changed tommorow, so my mechanic can look at the car while I am in school, and I will drive my 93 integra. What should I replace to get it right?

first off, remove the damn aiv, it's useless. There is a FAQ in here to do so, it's easy and helps. As well, it's FREE!

Secondly, with your idle, plugs, wires, o2 sensor, fuel injector cleaner, make sure your injectors aren't leaking. Some people reccomment Seafoam, it did help my 240 a bit, nothing amazing but noticeable.

for your hesistation, clean you throttle body, MAF and replace your fuel filter, that should fix that problem.

DO NOT BUY A HAYNES. waste of $$. If you buy anything, spend $70 and get the full service manual for your car. We should be able to help you online with most anything

Oh, and the PVC valve on DOHC's are a pain in the ***, don't even bother doing it.

Hope I helped

BUt he's got a SOHC, (90 240).

PCV valve is on the passenegr side of the engine, on the top...near the fuel injector/fuel rail.

very easy to replace. If you have the new part, just look on top for the butt of something similar.

Its close to the thing that says ECS which is right next to the actual valve cover.
