I finally got my car...i was originally looking for a shell...but ended up getting a car w/ the motor already swapped in....picked it up last night...drove it 280 miles home w/ out a hiccup...pretty happy...pics soon

yup yup...got a 92 coupe...all stock except makeshift fmic (looks like a top mount ) after market cold pipe, custom hot pipe w/ no bov (YEA FOR COMPRESSOR SURGE ), and 3 inch dp....she gave me pretty good gas mileage on the trip home too...270+ miles and still have a lil less than half a tank left lol

Get the pics up. Any word on the SDS? I assume it comes with the coils and ignition driver/amplifier, right? You can order it w/o the coils/driver at a lower cost if you intend to use an MSD setup, which costs like $500. Sorry to jack your thread.

hey driftin nc...i believe u've seen the car be4

oh btw...had my first hiccup lol...my idle jumped from 900 too 1100 today and wont go back down ....dunno what happened..havent touched anything or pushed the car hard...hmmm

Thanks.

Could either be the really poor CA idle system or a leak somewhere after the throttle body. Does it still run the same? My idle has done that before, but it fixed itself. It's just a crappy system.

It's probabally that stupid valve right next to the thermostat housing. Mine got stuck open and wouldn't let the car idle down. If you're lucky, you've got one you can take apart and clean and be good to go, if not, you'll have to get one off of an SE-R Sentra.

thanks guys..yea it drives the same...hmmm..ill check for leaks...

oh and rmiller i called him this morning and he said the shop was busy...and he'd call me this evening..so i should have an update for you by then...

oh and im runnin rich as h e double hockey sticks guys lol but it does have the walboro and stock fpr so that could be that issue...ill keep ya all posted...as for pic i still havent figured out how to do it..i guess ill just link you to my myspace or cardomain page...

I have walbro & stock fpr, I think the aftermarket fpr becomes necessary with big injectors. Running rich and high idle...leak after throttle body would do the trick. Weird combo, I can't think of another single problem that would cause that. Definitely clean the thing float said to clean.

ok so i tried to tap one of the vac lines on the manifold for my boost gauge...and now the car doesnt wanna idle right...starts acting like its gonna die after it idles for 2 minutes or so all the while its jumpin between 800 and 1100rpm ....so i put it back (and i still have my high idle...lol..this car is owning me right now....im gonna go out there and see if i can clean that bypase valve out...

now THIS is weird...made sure everything was plugged back up...car idles fine @ 900 ...BUT...when i open the hood...its sputters and idles crazy...close the hood its fine....WTH??? lol....

check a vacuum line..make sure everything is tightened up..and check ur charge piping for any leaks/tighten those silicone couplers

as far as the charge piping goes imi gonna check that today...on myway to the junkyard to pick up a new bumper...update later this evening
