this is at the car show in Jan old setup

this is when we got it working the first time

this is what happens when cyc #6 has no compression and alot of blow-by

I like the chicks. What are you hoping to make with the E85+T72? Sounds like a pretty crazy setup for a stock short block.J2fast wrote:no one has any comments on what they think about the car????
I'm hoping to make about 500-550 whp. I build the setup for highway runs mostly but I may switch turbo later due to the bad lagjulio wrote:I like the chicks. I have rb26 internals at the house which I plan on using mid next yearUSMCgetsome wrote:gonna get a new block? whats your next step?
It had a lot of blow-by an the oil caught on fire when it jumped to the turboJoe wrote:how does a bad cylinder make a car catch on fire?
Joe wrote:blowby usually doesnt throw oil out of the engine...
I have n had a catch can setup but cyc 6 had no compression at all. It even blew the catch can hose off first and then the dip stick which is where the oil came from to start the fireflatrate wrote:Joe wrote:blowby usually doesnt throw oil out of the engine...
it certinaly can, if he didnt have a catch can setup or just had the breathers open
Yeap it does but oh well. I've got my new motor in and trying to mess around with the tune a lil bit but I think I need a small ar on my exhaust housing cuz it's taking to long to spool upJoe wrote:there we go, well that sucks man. hope you can get it fixed
and anyone that runs open breathers on a turbo engine deserves to have their car to catch on fire, thats just STUPID.
