This is my first time posting, but I have been following this forum for a while now. I just bought a S13 yesterday and am just waiting to get it delivered.I have 2 questions that I was hoping you guys could answer

1)I live in Canada and there is quite a bit of snow and rain, I don’t have a garage to put my car in (it is currently being occupied by myself :D ) so what kinds of precautions should I/can i take to prevent the body from deteriorating?

2) I know 240's have the problem of rusting due to stock spoiler holding water and the car I bought is in extremely good condition with no signs of rust any where so I was thinking if I should remove the stock spoiler so to prevent rust because it will be parked outside. I am indifferent to keeping it on to taking if off, I just wanted to hear your thoughts.

BTW this forum kick major ***, I have to say it’s the best 240 site out there.

Congrats on the new car I just picked mine up last weekend. I have the same problem I only have a car port at my apartment to park it under, Next month my stock spoiler is coming off and is going to be replaced by one that hopefully won't hold the water the same way. I live in Oregon so it rains alot here and I don't want to take any chances with it getting rust back there.

and come on you can always squeeze the car in the garage with ya just think of it as your room mate lol

I am realy indifferent to having it on, or taking it off. but if there is not nay to protect it from rust with the wing on, then I will have no choice but to take it off.

so I am still hopeing that some one will let me know if there is a way to protect the car, including the rest of the body as well as the under side.

You could always move out of your room, move the car into the garage, and move into your car.. :D

Not sure what else you can do. But yes, removing the spoiler and filling the holes is a good idea.

Hopefully you shouldn't have to go through the bull I went through to get the spoiler off. The holes turned out to be too large for mine (stupid previous owner? I dunno) and it couldn't be patched. I had to get a junked hatch from an '89 that didn't have a spoiler.
