hey man, why did you put the timing chain guide back in, I believe those are not good for the engine. Check up on that it could be a bad thing. Since you are in Hamden you're only about 45 minutes away, shoot me an email sometime, I'd like to check out the car in detail.

Remove that timing chain guide now!!!! How in the h3ll did you even get a new one?? I thought they pulled them from the production line due to them breaking off and destroying engines...

i really like the dark blue valve cover. i've really taken a dislike for blue ones(they look weak/h0m0), but yours looks really really good. totally clean.

well, we hit a snag with the build. the owner of my buddies shop where my car was at decided that he is gonna sell the building, and just up and closed without giving anyone any notice. he changed the locks and put up a "closed for renovations" sign.

we were able to get into the building and gather up all my stuff as well as put my car on a flatbed and bring it to my shop. As we speak, it is sitting in my woodshop bay.

im having 220 put in the bay (for the welding machines) and we are gonna finish it at my shop.

the good news is that with the downtime(while my friend relocates and gets situated again) i now have some time to do some cosmetic stuff. i polished the front cover of the motor and the water neck as well as reclock the turbo to figure out the hot pipe routing. i also started to grind down the upper plenum of the intake manifold to polish it. This way it will match the plenum that is being made for the lower section.

here are some pics:

hey, got a question for you. I am wanting to go with the V3 cams also, but i don't plan to turbo my car right away. Someone told me I would have a hard time keeping my car from dieing at stop signs and stuff with these cams plus a leight weight flywheel. Is this true, or should i buy them? He told me i'd be better off going with the V2's.

props on actually polishing your intake mani yourself. i have that left and the compressor housing for my setup to do. ive done compressor housings, but the intake scares me just because of how much time is involved with it. the horn inlet looks badass too.
