finally found an engine.. sohc to doch finally!!

got a good price.. for the dohc.. 300bucks.. need a new head gasket, exhaust cam, shims, and cam bearings, and ignition coil...is that a good deal or what? and where the hell can i find those parts cheap???please help asapjoe:help

I think you should have stuck with the SOHC. With the issues you will have in converting your vehicle from one engine to the other it will probably wipe out any savings you got with this one. Plus, why buy an engine that won't work without the purchase of additional parts? I'd keep looking if I were you. Also, please correct me if I am wrong, but won't you have to buy a new ECM for it all to work as well?

I would find all this out before buying this engine, if it already isn't too late.

isnt the ecm the ecu?? and i dont know if i listed that but it comes wit the engine 5spd transmission and ecu and wire harness..joe

dont forget dude, u need a dohc gauge cluster. The sohc tach wont werk with the dohc motor. I think ull need new dohc ps lines too...
