stereo color change, all led ac controls, lit cd box, lit vents, automotive painted and cleared,
I dont look like a hobo driving around with no dash anymore yay!

The trick with that peice is the trim is attached to the vent(via a screw, infact all the vents are attached to the trim for some reason) AND it has a tab on the far right side, so you have to get trim off from the left, work over to the vent, pull out the vent with the trim by way of the 2 tabs you can see in the vent, then rotate the whole thing around towards the door and up and get the end to drop off the tab. pretty stupid if you ask me.x4sper wrote:very nice how did you get the passenger trim piece off?
Thanks! There is a lot more I want to do, but then I saw you did it and now I dont want to look like im copying you lol. I think I have around 165 leds I hand wired in. oh plus the 25 in the dome, so almost 200.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:That looks awesome. I love the led controls !
Only if you dont know how to solder 0603 surface mount leds. there are 42 of them I think, 30 on the face and 12 in the lcd. The volume nob is kind of a b****, because it has screwes that got stripped instead of coming out, as well as 4 through hole solder points that are bent on the back side so it is extra secure. the lcd is in a kind of box, which I removed, then i bent the screen itself just enough so I could reach inside, which made it harder, but its better than the hassle of removing all billion pins on the lcd screen itself. I'd be interested in changing the LEDs on the stereo. Was it hard?
