acmeblues wrote:Hi 240sx, If you are asking what my red line is it is 6500 rpm. The upgraded ECU will kick it up too 7100 and remove the top speed gov. along with fuel maping and allowing the throttle to open all the way. also tweeks the timing and leans the afm to 12.5 at wot. By the way, have you noticed anything with the rear tower strut bar, my nephew has a 95 240sx with a skyline moter (turbo). Nice ride
Got an e-mail from Technosquare today 1-22 and they were already able to flash my ECU. They will ship it back on fri. 1-23 and should be here about 1-26. This is sooner than I expected so of course it will go in the same day and I will let you all know how I like it.PalmerWMD wrote:Acmeblue:

acmeblues wrote:Hey Metaorbit, Nice lookin ride! I too am after the 02 I35 ECU. Just sent Danny at Technosquar ECU pinout values and elictrical diagrames for our car. I am trying to locate an inexpensive factory service manual so he can compair it to the 02 Maxima. The manuals on CD rom cost $210 from Infin. parts! If you get any leads post or e-mail me,[email protected]
Also I was having to reset my ECU about every 10 days because of the y-pipe, catback exhuast and CAI. It also smelled like it was running richer after the mods. With the flashed ECU I won't have to reset it anymore and it already has lost that rich smell. I know, nothing scientific here just nose and butt. Look at above post Meta. Take careMetaOrbit wrote:Thanks for the compliment!
I'm real interested to see how the Technosquare ECU turns out. Given any thought to some dyno runs?
Yea I know what you mean, maybe next year or so Volk lit. wt. wheels and some better tires but for right now as an older kid (56 in june) I'm having too much fun and running out of extra cash. I really wanted a Maxima, great car but the I35 fell in my lap, new the sales guy and he gave me a great deal but couldn't resist modding it some, Had a 69 440 GTX in younger days and the Max and I ,beleave it or not come very close to being as fast. My GTX stock was 14.3 1/4 mile, auto. Now thats a hoot, Nissan, better built smaller engine 15.1 or mid 14s stock, Wow, technology Oh forgot to mention 7 too maybe 12 mpg in the GTX, 23 too 30 in the I35 VROOOM!audtatious wrote:Yeah, this may be my last upgrade other than struts/shocks. I'm still kicking it around and waiting for all the kinks to be worked out first. Pretty positive reactions so far....
Man with that post you sent me back 35 years to daydream land. Cat jumped in my lap and scared me back to reality. THere was a magizine called muscle car 69 that spected all those cars out and that is how I picked the GTX. Thanks for reminding me. Check out http://www.classiccars.com sometime. Has all those gas hogs for sale, I would still like to get a GTX when I retire,Hey came to think of it thats not to for off---Yes! Well gotta play guitar for church early, take careaudtatious wrote:LOL....
50's is not too old to have fun in an import sedan. I'm not a teenie bopper either at 38
Would of loved to have driven that GTX. I look through ebay at them from time to time. I have driven a '70 Road Runner with 400 that was decent. I had a 350+hp '78 Cutlass years ago and I know the Maxi is faster. Comparing late 60's muscle cars to the 3.5L VQ is pretty funny. Most of those cars were barely in the 14's and the faster ones would get low 14's (Boss 429 hemi Mustang had a "best" of 13.9 I believe with slicks).
I am hoping to order one before the March meet. Intake and Exhaust are just not quite enough yet
