Well I finally got my car on the dyno and I'm very pleased with it. I hope you guys can read that last number of 248.4hp and 247.2 ft/lbs of torque. Let me know what you think.

The first run was with the boost controller turned off, so it was at about 8psi. I have an S13 throttle body so it boosts a little more than 7psi stock.

The second run was at 14psi with the timing off. The last one was with the timing adjusted to 15deg (I'm not completely sure on this but I think so) and 14 psi again.

I have the files from the dyno program if someone has something they can open them with and post them. We had a wideband o2 in the tailpipe and I was running pretty rich the whole time.

Oh and as far as being fun to drive...it's a blast! I have cruise controll and Ice cold A/C so there's not much of a sacrifice with the performance that I get with it.

wow man, those numbers are great! i'm still shooting for that much :(...gotta get the 3" turbo outlet/DP/exhaust...right now i've only got a 2.5" exh and stock outlet/dp and i'm pulling 210hp/226tq that's at 10 psi though i'm pretty sure...manual boost controller :(

So, what's under the hood?I'm trying to get an idea of where i'm at right now!I got a redtop with an S14 T28 ball bearing, FMIC, only 2.5" exhaust, for now, and running around 14psi.And of course all the things to make it run safely!I was racing my friends 944 turbo(16psi) and we were close through 3rd, then he whipped my a*s! Porsche's, highway cars!I was pretty equal to the Z28 Camaro and S2000 I ran also.I'd like to say I'm putting down 240whp; but honestly, I think that's exaggerating a bit!

Thanks for the props guys. Check out my website (link in my sig) to find out all of the details of the hardware, but here's the overview:

S14 zenki body 96S14 blacktop--(from a kouki)w/ T28 and VTCS13 throttle body Greddy VSPL FMIC kit3" hotpipe3" Downpipe300ZX fuel filter2.5" Catback w/ N1 style mufflerdual 12" electric fans--runs cooler than the KA did!Greddy profec b spec 2 boost controllerand there may be one or two more things that I forgot

My main focus when getting this swap done was that I didn't want to sacrifice anything! The car is an SE and I wanted everything that worked on it before to work after the swap. The guys at XAT racing did an excellent job. The A/C is truly ice cold. The idle is smooth (once it warms up). The reverse lights work. The powersteering works. And my cruise control works! Taylor and Sean really out did themselves on that. It was a huge hassle and expense but they delivered it just like they said they would. But whatever you do...don't ask them to do it again-- they might throw something at you! :)

I'm gonna hang on to mine. There's not much more that I'm doing as far as speed goes. I'd like new wheels and I need new tires and stuff like that. Suspension still needs to be done...but I need to take it easy on spending money for now.

Very nice car. If you don't mind me asking, did your S13 throttle body have provisions for the extra cable for cruise control?

I spend much of my time near USF since that's where I work, but I live near Gandy and Manhattan. In fact my house is very close by the Sonic that people meet at on Saturday nights.

And of course the car already had it before the swap. All of the controls work just as they did before. But please remember...its a big hassle for a shop to do it and they will either refuse to do it or charge you extra most of the time.

Oh yeah. I'd love to take you for a ride in the car. Even with the A/C blowing freezing cold air the car won't over heat and will still make great power! My screen name is ruuf5000. Give me a holler!

Any reason why you're set on the S15? S13s and S14 are a lot cheaper and the performance is the same.

Well i spoke with the guys at Secret Services and they told me for a front clip of an S15 it'd be about 6.5k (cheapest i've seen them) and the reasons i like the engines themselves soo much is mainly because of the 6spd transmission, fuel economy and the HP/Torque

I see your point. I suggest you also talk to the guys at XAT racing (813) 875-7223. What kind of numbers are you trying to put down?

I'm not trying to rain on your parade but I hear many people don't like that 6spd transmission. I hear (and again this is only what I've heard) that the S15 transmission is not as strong and that guys in Japan replace the S15 transmission with the 5spd.

Well Yeah i've heard that too but then again some people say it's just a rumor -shrugs- I dunno i'll probably end up speaking with the XAT Racing guys and the Secret Service guys see what's the best deal for either the S14/S15 engines and then just go from there

and about HP/Torque for now not too much i want to set the car up for mods and then slowly move up from there

Have a goal. Decide how much you want to spend and decide what performance you want to get from this. That'll be the measuring stick for your swap.
