WARNING: This is long :pface
I finished up enough of the swap to take the car for a spin. The hood won't close right now because I've got the stock R32 airbox connected until I buy a cone filter. The bumper isn't on, the wiring needs tidying up, cluster needs to be wired, etc, but I couldn't wait to finish all that
Since I don't have a tag, insurance, or any sort of exhaust system yet I decided to only play around in my driveway. I made a few easy passes down and back up just to make sure everything was running ok. Then I decided to be a bit more aggressive and revved it up a bit to get a little chirp out of the back tires.
I was happy for the day and started to roll her back in when my dad came over to see how the swap was going
After he came back I got pissed at him for really pushing my car before I had even had a chance to really break it in, swap out the old gas for some new 93 (no telling what was in it), and tie down all the loose crap in the engine bay. Then he said he was sorry and didn't mean to, and that he only pressed the gas pedal down about halfway. At this point I was in awe :shocked2.
Tomorrow I'm going to try and get the front bumper back on, as well as ghetto rid a 2nd AC condenser fan to cool the motor until I can get some good electric ones. Then I may take her to a big parking lot and really see what she'll do :ylsuper
Hopefully I'll get some pics and video up in the next few days
