Alrighty, I finally lowered my car and what a difference. Looks better. Handles better. I'd swear it's even faster and the stereo seems louder. No more 4-wheelin for me. I picked up 4 Tanabe GF210's for $60 and they came preinstalled on a set of oem shocks/struts. I know that's frowned upon but since a) mine were seriously shot b) It's gonna be a little while before I can afford a set of Tonico's or KYB's and c) The previous owner seemed to have gotten away with it, I decided to just throw 'em on my car temprarily until I can afford new ones. Worst case scenario; I blow one thereby forcing myself to bite the bullet lol. Any way here's a couple of pics...

I don't have personal experience, but I think GF210 is better spring than Eibach(Prokit/Sportline) or Tein(S-Tech). GF210 is linear, not progressive. Drop looks really good. You should get AGX soon. One suggestion... Replace studs with longer ones and put 10-15mm spacers. Your car will look killer.

Glyph,Did you remove the fender well cover/liner? Looks more like 'coilover drop' rather than 'spring drop.' Last time I checked, GF210 costs about $155 brand new shipped and they are supposed to be in good quality. Good choice!!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I agree. It makes a huge difference. I don't quite understand the "coilover drop" vs "spring drop" statement but no, I did not remove my fender well-cover. Should I have? And in response to the comment re spacers; I already put 2 generic spacers from Pep Boys on the rear but alas, the wheels are a +38 offset. They may not be flush to some peoples standards but they really don't bother me that much. Hell, up until 8 months ago I didn't even know what wheel offset was lol.

You'll find out soon - look and listen for rubbing. If you remove the cover, you should re-route the harness on the driver's side ASAP so the tire does not wear through the wires.

"coilover" vs. "spring"= what people who spent $1k+ on shocks say so they feel better about their purchase

Usually, springs don't give you that much drop. GF210s drop tad more than other springs and vert is heavier, so you got real nice drop. Usually, you gotta have coilovers to have decent drop like that. Watch out for the bumps and pot holes. Your stock struts will blow up. You might want to take it to an alignment shop and take care of rear camber with Rear Upper Camber Arms. They tell you waht you need to do. Leave the wheel well liners. As far as I know, GF210s are stiffer than s-tech or eibachs, so you might not need to remove them. That's why you should get AGX and set the dampening to stiff.
