As the title says ,I finally, after autoxing and tracking this car for 4 years ,dragged my lazey arse to a salvage yard and pulled the diff from a Q45 and with a little doing transferred it to my S-14 hoopty and ...WOW!!No inside tire spinning ,no throttle feathering on hard corners .Now I have a clutch grip problem on autox launches.Next upgrade I guess . I could have gotten an easier unit to swap had it not been for the fact some vulture had pulled the 3rd member from every single J30 on the lot Sunday we had our 4th points event and I was pleasantly surprised at the drastic differance.

Nothing like spending 9 hours worth of effort the day before an event to enjoy it for 6 minutes... .Not bad for $60 bucks though. You gotta love U-pullit places.

Congrats!!!!

I know what you mean about the 6 hrs of labor for four miniutes of drive time. I replaced my open unit w a VLSD over the winter. good times, good times. That and most of the rest of my suspension.

It really is worth it. Open diffs were just not engineered for spirited driving. Congrats on the upgrade
