Well I hope when the time comes that you take medicine for what ails you it was inspected by a qualified government FDA employee.AZhitman wrote:All good points, and I'll give you that.telcoman wrote: Is that any different from throwing used batteries in the garbage?
Years ago there were people who would pour used motor oil into sewers too.
Wasn't it the government that pointed out the dangers of doing so.
Proper recycling is just being smart and we need the experts in this field to keep us informed. Just because they happen to be government employees shouldn't matter.
We've all seen how some private corporations function with their own inept management.

However, the "experts" aren't government employees. TRUST me on this one, Howie.
And "inept management" isn't solely the realm of private industry... Remember, "ineptness" in the private industry means you starve to death. Ineptness in government means you get to try out the Oval Office.
It was the first thing that popped into my head after the fillet Mignon reply concerning federal waste. There was never any intention to state other politicians didn't do the same.srellim234 wrote:aud- why would you use wnd as your source? It's obvious they are not very stable or reliable. It's pretty obvious they are dedicated to promoting homophobia, the birthers and the really out there religious right wing fringe. I went over to Factcheck.org to check out your story. There's a lot more to that bill than a "party plane."

Note this from factcheck:
"...failed to compare Pelosi’s costs with those of the previous speaker, Republican Dennis Hastert, even though the Air Force handed over documents covering CODELs that he led, as well as those led by Pelosi. And the fact is that Hastert’s travel, as represented in Judicial Watch’s own documents, was comparable to Pelosi’s."
The Republicans had no problem at all paying for the same stuff when Tom Delay was doing it, either.

I've never seen a story sourced from WND that wasn't quickly revealed to be all kinds of bogus.
Qualified to inspect medicine does not equate an expert. I'm sure that would slip by you as you see Pelosi/Obama/Reed as being experts in healthcaretelcoman wrote: Well I hope when the time comes that you take medicine for what ails you it was inspected by a qualified government FDA employee.

Nowhere did I make a statement that BUSH is any more of an expert thus your comment is a waste of time and a deflection. That broken record is old.telcoman wrote: So who is an expert in healthcare?
We got an unpaid for Medicare part D from GWB that was a huge gift to the drug companies with no negotiation over drug prices. At least the VA is able to negotiate drug prices.
The answer to healthcare is a single payer system such as medicare open to everyone.
