Car: 2011 Infiniti M37x

Post

Whats up guys, my name is Ty. I'm located in NYC. I drive a 2011 M37x which I purchased at the beginning of the year. After searching for months and kept getting the run around and getting over priced from dealerships around my area, I decided to search online for a M37x from a different state, after about a day or two I found one with the exact specifications and low mileage I was looking for, but it was located in Lawton, OK. Long story short I call the dealership and let them know I was interested in purchasing the car but I lived in NYC and told them the price they were supposed to offer me the car for through my job, after about a day of getting the run around from one of the salesman who apparently didnt want to sell me the car for the price i was supposed to get it for i finally got the chance to speak to a manager who took care of the problem and started the paperwork. After I purchased the car it sat at the dealership for about 3 week because I had a hard time finding a transporter who would be willing to go to that part of OK for the right amount of money. When I finally found one they charged me $1000 to have the car shipped to NYC within 5 business days. A few days later the truck driver call me and said he will be in Elizabeth, NJ within 2 hours if I want to come pick the car up from there or wait until he goes upstate NY to do a few drop offs and then he'll come directly to my house in NYC but that would be on Monday and it was friday, after waiting so long after the car was purchased I decided to meet him in NJ that night and pick up the car. The car had about 48k miles on it and I purchased it for about $19,700 without taxes and fees, when the car got to NYC within a few days after I went to the DMV and paid about $1900 in taxes and fees. It was a long shot but I got the car for a steal since the car was valued at $25,000. I've had the car for a few months now and so far I did a lot of minor upgrades and mods.

Mods:
All interior lights and license plate light to LED
LED fog lights
Tint fog lights lens to yellow using Krylon glass stain
Sideview mirror anti theft guard
Infiniti Logo 4door puddle light
WellVisor window visors
Smoked out reverse lens, amber tint rear turn signal lens
RainX wiper blades
Nissan Front footwell light clear lens
Apeman front and rear dashcam
Purchases trunk and rear window spoiler when I first bought the car but have yet to get it painted and installed
That's all I can remember at the moment.

Next mods I'm think of getting is either lowering Springs or coilovers, test pipe, Y pipe or custom X pipe, intake and after those mods a UpRev tune.

I would love to post pics of when I first got the car and how it looks now but idk how. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon.
Thank for reading, I have plenty of questions to ask about stuff I've read on the forum the past couple of months.

Welcome to the forum! ANd $20k before fees for 48k M is not a bad deal. Good job.

For posting pics, see the FAQ thread in my signature (either one). There is a link showing how.

Welcome to the forum! Regarding the transmission fluid change, look under the how to and faqs section on the main M37/56 forum page. Click on the FSM link, then the year of your car, and look for the TM.pdf file. I believe it's page 94 that covers changing the fluid. Read it and see if this is something you can do. It's basically a drain and fill procedure (twice) but the fluid is added through the overflow plug via a special adapter, a task much easier if you can get the car on a lift. Personally I would let the dealer do it.

Hey are you interested in a black grill. I had a 13' M37x that got totaled and I got the grill but never installed it. I ordered it from Circle infiniti in Long Branch NJ for 250. if you are serious I can part with it for half. PM me of text me at 2674564911 and I can send you pics of the receipt and the grill. I'm in Philly so I'm not too far from you.
