is the car suppose to sound like it has cams when it's in park?

I took it for a test drive and I really feel the difference and hear the difference. Sounds great.

But when I'm in park it sounds like it's gonna shut off, but it doesn't. Is that normal?

Maybe you forgot to re-connect one of many things you removed to do the job?

I think that's exactly what it is. I think it's the one in the back against the firewall. I gotta double check.

I also forgot to mention that my check engine light came on yesterday.

So this morning I was thinking that maybe it is a vacuum leak from that hose, so I tried getting back there to move the clamp up but I really can't squeeze in there. I felt the hose though. It seems secure. One of the other problems I forgot to mention (duh) is that like an a$s, I never removed those (2) small outer screws on the plenum. The whole time I had (2) remaining new bolts for the plenum and that's when the light bulb hit me. So I removed them today and replaced them with the (2) remaining bolts I had. I obviously didn't torque those (2) down in the order is was recommended. But I did just torque both down to the required specifications. Shouldn't be a problem right?

I started the car and the check engine light was still on. I disconnected the battery and waited about 10 minutes. Connected it back on, started the car and took it for a test drive. Knock on wood, no check engine light and I forgot to mention, the car is not stuttering at the light or when in park. The car does sound like it may still have a small leak somewhere. I am taking it to a mechanic tonight to install my light weight crank pulley and new belts. While I'm there, I will make sure to ask him to double check for an vacuum leak.

Thanks for all your help and concern guys.

By removing the TB you should ensure it's torqued to spec and I would also perform the 3 steps outlined here: throttle-response-t580046.html#p6515206

Everything has been torqued to spec. I will check out these instructions. Thanks @svard.

Did you use any kind of rtv gasket between both sides of the spacers? Not sure what your kit came with, my skunk2 spacer is composite with builtin gaskets on both sides.

Mine came with the head gasket and a gasket for the TB.

The missing bolts caused a vacuum leak, and may still. Take 'em out and put RTV on them full length and reinstall them.
There are a lot of places for vacuum to leak, and some will cause lights to come on, but not all. Hose can be tight and still leak with w/o a clamp being tight enough. You can try the choke spray test.

did you remove the TB with the battery still hooked up? Do throttle calibration like svard suggested for sure....

Take engine cover off, with car at idle, spray brake clean or starter fluid around the edges of the plenum - if the car surges you have a leak where you sprayed...

ALWAYS torque in the order recommended (a million times I say f*** it - im a mechanic I can just put em on and always get a leak)
