i just came back from trying that method, it worked great....

i used a dishwashing detergent, and a water spray bottle, and plenty of clean cloth (you can get a roll of that stuff from any automotive supplier shop "shop towels")

i started by spraying the general area that needs to be cleaned with water(one area at a time), then i put some palmolive on a clean damp cloth, spreaded the detergent in the cloth, then applied it to the area to be cleaned (rubbing the area in a circular motion).... i then sprayed more water, then used another clean dry cloth to wipe the area dry, it worked like a charm... i finally have a clean headliner...

Simple green works well and so does Lacquer Thinner believe it or not. Lacquer thinner also works good on carpet. It gets any grease type stains and kills any oders also. Just don't use the lacquer thinner on plastic parts or leather.

(I run a small used car lot and not only sell the cars but clean them and fix them also.)

Simple Green is ok to use on the headliner, and other cloth areas of the J30?

Just want to make sure before I try it out.

Yes, dilute it down with at least half water or even more water. You can even use it on the leather. Just don't let it sit on the leather, wipe it right off.
