congrats on the Z

and I'd bet dollars to doughnuts it's really 178k, if it's really 78k the steering wheelshould still have texture to it's surface as the pedals pads and dead pedal should all still have lots of texture left, if they are worn smoothe it's 178k

my car har like 80k, and the documents and history could support it, btiu the wear on these and other itmes told the real story

don't worry about the milage the stock L6 is good for 200k+

Are the vertical heating strips (shown in the picture above) on the rear windshield rare?

Can anyone identify this exhaust shown in the picture above? It has 2 glass packs on each pipe.

They repainted the whole car including the jambs, but couldn't bother to remove the spare tire? Weird.

Sorry I can't help you about that exhaust, but do happen to know what kind of wheels those are?

The previous owner showed me photos of the car from the 70's and 80's and it was a White car to begin with. Looks like someone tried to cover up the rust with some red spray paint.

TO the best of my knoledge the wheels are the 14" stock mag wheel that came from the factory.

I'm definitely envious. In white too. I keep telling myself after I finish rebuilding my 92 SE-R track car that I'm buying a 240Z.

Very nice, congrats, your first Z? You will either have fun fixing it up or get tired of fixing it up, LOL. I've owned my 280Z 2+2 for 20 years and I never get tired of working on it, it's a labor of love.

Not too bad condition, mine had a lot more body rot in the lower rocker panels, being from North Carolina. Bondo Fiberglass works wonders. Just make sure you use a good rust killer before you glass it or it will fall back out in a few years (yes, I learned the hard way) Spare tires always collect water if the rear trunk seal leaks.

I don't know about the 240's but my 280 has the read window defroster stock. Is there a factory looking switch on the center console? Ugh, hate it when they can't put window tint on right. You aren't supposed to use it with the defroster tape anyways, eh?

You can get a nice plastic dash cap and get rid of the dash mat- ever had one of those fly up in your face when driving? Have fun! Chris.

it a true twice pipe exhaust with 2 glass packs on each pipe. The car does start and she sounds very throaty and loud. The best part is that even though it is loud it does not sound like a rice car.
