I went to Sebring last Sunday with my 670HP Z and hot lapped with an ENZO, the new C6 ZR1 a few F430's and the GTR.

I had a great time and suprised alot of people there. I can really say how I held up against the Enzo, becasue with a better driver the Enzo would have been faster. He really didn't hold the line too well, but I was right there with him the whole time. Even on the long straights. I was also able to keep him behind me when I was leading.

The GTR was the guys first outing and he needed some more experience o nthat track. He wasn't very fast.

The C6 ZR1 was very fast as well. He left the pits first, and I was able to catch him about 1/2 way around the track. That car is also well setup and blisteringly quick from the factory. Respect to GM on that one for $100,000. In all fairness to the ZR1 I was using R-compound tires 275 Front/ 305 rear and he was using street tires.

Pics....

I recently changed my shocks to a new set of ZEAL Superfunction dampers, and I went with 18" wheels and wider tires (275/305), and changed my alignmet settings. My fastest time this time was 2:27 off my best of a previous day of 2:22. I will change the camber again as I think I had too much this time. I was at -3.0 in the front and -2.5 in thre rear. I will leave the front the same and go to -2.0 in the rear.

I will be happy with a 2:15 when the car is setup. I think it is capable of that. I have a long way to go as a driver as well.

Wow JET pretty impressive how you backed up your point on supercars. I am impressed with the collection of pics and more impressed with what you "HAVE DONE" and shared with us on the capabilities of a 350Z. Good having someone with knowledge and experience in the forum.

Impressive. You have one hell of a car. You also posted up your build at one point also, IIRC. I do believe your build. It looks like one hell of a fun car, and nice to see you out there running with the supercars.

You really have 670 HP???

Now this isn't meant in a bad way. I am stating my opinion. I still don't consider it a supercar. You are probably faster than many supercars, and can out handle them as well. But I don't consider anything made by Nissan a supercar. Not even the new GTR, or one of the older Skyline GTR's.

I will go more in depth on this subject, but I can't right now. I am on a heave dose of pain meds, and my eye hurts like heck from staring at the screen.

Bottom line, You have a badass car.

I don't want everyone bagging on modified350z's thread to make you think we are not proud of our cars, or yours and your accomplishments. That kid was just full of crap.

Yes.... I started this build back in Dec 2004 right after I got my car. I had no idea what I had gotten into.

This is my 3rd motor. I blew the 1st stock motor, and my first built motor with my Turbonetics kit. I decided to get a Greddy TT since the Turbonetics juus can't compete to make this power and built a third motor which is in there now.

I have the Greddy TT and all the supporting mods plus a set of GTM cams with JWT springs and retainers that let me rev to 7300RPM without the fear of floating a valve.

There is much more to come with this car. I will be putting in a full NASCAR cage with door bars, full lexan, and all CF body parts to lighten it up.

Here is my cardomain page with all my pics and the latest dyno from The Performance Factory. 565whp + approx 670BHP.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3083811

I take it to Sebring whenever I have the opportunity and I love to drive it. if someone passes me on the track it's either with a race preppared car or I did something wrong as a driver. I have had proffesional racecar drivers drive this car (my driving coaches) and they couldn't believe the capabilities of the car. This last Sunday my coach got out of the car and said "this f*cking car is unreal", and he owns a spec Miata and a Z06. He said the car pulls much harder than his C6 Z06. He was amazed that we could run with the Enzo.

I will be competing in the Redline Time Attack races in the 09 season in the modified RWD category.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

You didn't mention the Radical. That's way faster than an Enzo on the track. How did you fare against that?

Thanks for the praise guys....

Well the radical SR8.... no chance in hell I could keep up with him. He had full race slicks, and was a better driver, and it's so much of a purpose built car that only another race car could compete against it.

The radical SR3's are a different story. They are really down on power and I can easilly overtake them in the straights like Sebring has.

i am truly amazed with your car and your build... If i ever get mine paid off i will probably mach most of your build. I want to build mine for track, but want to wait until i'm not paying $500/month for it, so i can put $500/month in it!

Thank You....

All your comments mean alot to me. If anyone doesn't like something I would like to hear that too.

My general wisdom to everyone is to join a driving club like CHIN or NASA and get out there o nthe track. It is a blast. It doesn't matter if your car is stock. You will learn alot about yourself as a driver and the car.

There is alot more to come so keep your eyes open for my posts. I'm not finished yet!

LOL! I love the title of the thread!! Classic!

CONGRATS on all your "REAL" hard work! Best thing about it, you did it without gay flames on your hood. This is how you earn respect!

The number plate on the door. I know that simplicity is a good thing, and flash=rice, but you need something that is a little sharper than that. Black numbers, black border, center close to the color of the car, and ghost flames on that part.

Hey, is that beast your daily driver?

I agree with the numbers. I was looking at the track for what I liked on other peoples cars.

I needed these numbers on short notice and didn't wan't to use blue tape like so many people do so i went with something quick and simple.

Something more spectacular is in the works. I am thinking of a partial vinyl wrap.

No this is not my daily driver.
