FINALLY! A GTR that I can touch!!!!

Yes! My local Nissan dealer finally got TWO in their showroom!

I got really busy this weekend and didn't make it by the dealership until AFTER they had closed Saturday and what do I see in the show room, but a new grey GTR!!! So close, but so far.....

I got a chance to get back up there yesterday to leave some drool marks on it, but it had been SOLD. So, I couldn't get in it. BTW, it was sold to a 20 year old But, the 20 year old is the son of the owner of BBS.... I'm told that they will be adding BBS wheels to it and use it as a show car, but the boy will also be driving it....yeah, I'm a little green...

The sales manager did tell me that they would be putting another (silver) on the showroom today and I would be able to TOUCH it!!!

So, finally got to check it out today. One thing I noticed is that my right knee was uncomfortably up against the center console... Otherwise, I would have purchased it....

Took only two crappy pics with my camera only because once I saw the engine I thought of Telcoman

I also noticed on the ride home that my right foot was unusually heavy!!!

About the oil... I think that 0-w40 is the new mobil 1 Green cap that gets better MPG

You need to read the threads in Gen Chat about the GTRs.You get something between 15 and 30 launches before the trans goes. The fluid for the trans is 80 bucks a quart. It takes 10 quarts. Nissan knows of the problem and considers it abuse. Go search gen chat for the two threads on the GTR. They were there within the last few weeks...Wait, I can search too! Here's the biggie...

If all this is true, the GTR sucks. The new 09 zr1 supercharged vette with 638 HP and a 4 second faster lap on the ring might be a better choice.

WOW! That does suck!!!And, the local dealer had it marked up $20K to a total of $94K!!!! Yeah, I'm fine with what's in the driveway!

hehe, i think you are tryin to say 0w-30 Fuel Econ one.

my Benz use 0w-40 because they are european formula and they are so thin for colder weather, but i don't know why is the GTR is using that

SVT did/does put out some very sweet cars!!I've driven the Lightning, Focus and Contour. All were nicely done!!!

Just wish my G had the rumble/power/MPG that my cobra has.

Cobra has V8, more HP and gets better MPG than the G. must be the gears...

Never understood this reason either, they've must be pushing the engine beyond its limits.

Saw the GTR yesterday too, it was one black and one white, the car is pure awesomeness concentrated to the confines of the seats inside of it. Love it!

hmm thats funny, because the Nissan dealership back home is apparently making the GT-R enter high-caliber drug dealer status.

They don't even bring the GT-R's to the dealership... They hide (yes, hide) them at a inside an old rundown Chrysler dealership thats down the road. You can't see in the windows, camera's are in full effect, and Johnny law is doing guard duty.

This guy was explaining to me that if I wanted to see a GT-R, I'd have to either:1) wait for someone to buy one and drive it2) be driving by the truck carrying a shipment at some crazy hour of night and risk running into Johnny law if i try to stop and look.

So yeah, when you touch a GT-R, try and describe it as best as possible...

Cuz I'm having a hard time just laying eyes on one...

Here are a few pix i took from the Stillen show back in May of this current year and htey had 2 GTRs along with the new maxima. I was too lazy to post up the pix, but there were over 1000 G35's and 350z's pretty cool day.
