yes, it controls fuel, timing, and boost maps. Thanks for the complements.turbo2nr wrote:i taguth the utec didnt control timing, well those are great numbers for only 9psi..
thank you sir. My brother hadn't dealt with a UTEC before but I did on a wrx so i knew the GUI. We didnt have that hard of a time tuning it but the lack of real time tuning was definitely needed.nsrZ32 wrote:Nice car and congrats on the tuning work guys!
sure does. 1-3rd are useless due to tires roasting all day long.hksjza80 wrote:nice nubmer, I bet it pulls hard...
thanks. our goal is to make sure that the customer is happy with their vehicle when they leave the shop.NSRsheets wrote:Nice work.
just an exhaust and turbo. that was from his TurboXS baseline map. nothing was done to it.evildky wrote:what was done to it with the 277 whp baseline?
Thanks. He was really happy with the results. I believe that the final TQ numbers were around 361 or so. we've fooled shortly with my friend's FAST on his SC'd mustang. we have around 3-4 GN's at the shop as well.TunerTrifecta wrote:AWESOME numbers!! Congrats on doing a UTEC system and congrats to Basura for being the first one to have it! What were the final torque numbers?--it looks close to 160lb-ft.
Have you guys ever worked with the F.A.S.T. XFI system? My dad runs one in his 87 GN and I love the tuning capability, but can't find anyone who's worked with one other than a guy in NJ.
that's right. he came with the Turboxs base maps from their website and we tested out the car to see what it did before we began tuning the car. Yes, we always use our wideband to tune unless the customer has one there available with logging features. If not we use the dyno's wideband. I dont have any of those maps available as they were tuned using his laptop. sorry bro.2mhighside wrote:You are saying you just took the Base map off the website and used that with no change to numbers ? Any Wide band ? could you send a few screen captures of the maps in utec? Would be most helpfull
Cheers
they look similar but I like the AEM better because I'm just mostly familiar with it. I also like FAST for his Mustang since it works a lot smoother. The one thing I didnt like about his version is that he had to buy another piece for datalogging. Bollocks.TunerTrifecta wrote:I see now that you're also an AEM tuner--how do you like the FAST compared to the AEM?
Yes, it does but most folks utilize their laptops to datalog. Very easy. Its definitely not an easy piece but there are a lot of things that one doesnt have to fool with. when the person starts fooling with those things, that's when the trouble starts unless they know what they are doing.TunerTrifecta wrote:Yeah, as far as internal data-logging or automatic data-logging it is a seperate piece for the FAST system.
Does the AEM have internal data-logging? How easy is it to tune on the fly? A lot of my old Supra guys were using it, but even more were afraid of it because of how in-depth the tuning is, making it hard for your average user to fiddle with.
same boost level?panapower wrote:just an exhaust and turbo. that was from his TurboXS baseline map. nothing was done to it.
yes. same boost level. the baseline was with NO tuning, turbo kit, exhaust. last result was with tuning. its not hard to draw out power from a car. this past weekend I was able to draw out around 90whp to a turbo integra.evildky wrote:same boost level?
not sure cause we always use the turboXS map sensor which plugs right in and it has the gradient values which the utec is looking for.2mhighside wrote:I have another question. Can i use my Emanage Map sensor with my Utec. Its a 3 wire map and i see on the Utec the pin out connector is 4 pins but are they all used?
TY sir. we try and do our best.duffman1278 wrote:Good work man!
