Jetpilot, your car is far from rice. I am not debating that it's not fast. Hell, it may be faster than a Ferrari or a Lambo, but... It still isn't a supercar.

I think that aside of power, it takes many years of being an elite car manufacturer to fall into "supercar" status. Just as well, most of the supercars are hand built.

Also, the Concourse is an event for cars that have been restored to original quality, not modified past stock.

Now I will say, your car is badass, and definitely NOT rice.

More than anything, Drew is being bagged on for misrepresenting himself and his car, and boasting HP numbers that are flat out BS.

I like your car. It's simple and fast with no excuses. Your car would out run both my cars no doubt about it. Main thing is you're not lying about your car and not going around telling people you own a "super car". Not really sure what a Super car is. I would say an F-40, F-50, Enzo, 288 GTO's, LP640 , Carrera GT would be in that category. All the others I would consider exotics.

I always thought of a supercar on the merrits of it's performance. That includes braking, acceleration, lateral acceleration etc.

My idea of a supercar is an Enzo, Carrera GT, Corvette ZR1, Porsche GT3/GT2, Viper ACR, F-40/F-50. I believe some tuner cars surely are supercars. Those that were built for the track.

I agree with Jet, super cars are supposed to be, well super. i know this is just opening another can of worms, but the whole "rice" thing that has been thrown around recently is sending this thread to the sh**ter. Is everything that is made in an oriental country rice? lets face it times have changed and engineering has grown in leaps and bounds. carbon fiber is everywhere! wtf! F1 or super car technology is being developed for every type of vehicle. the GTR is so big because it's breaking that "ricer" mold, only because it came from the factory with "super car" numbers, and a touch of history.

Don't get me wrong, there are most definitely "ricers" out there. Chances are they just want a car that looks cool to them. Some are trying to live up to a bad boy persona. Other "ricers" are actually Drivers. You'll find them at the track pushing the limits of their cars and tuning them. These real drivers are the ones that fuel the aftermarket. That Ferrari left the factory with years upon years of track engineering. That doesn't mean its the end of the line. There is always a way to make something better and that is what tuning is about. There will always be people who'll slap on a whole catalogs worth of parts onto their ride. whether it is anything Megan racing from eBay or everything Edelbrock. There is always someone, especially with exotics, who has all of the memorabilia/add-ons they can find. These enthusiasts will get everything from the key chain to the matching luggage. (you know who you are).

Point is we are all part of a community of automotive enthusiasts. We are all fiercely proud of our cars. From the old guys in my town who spend their sundays in their 57' Chevys, the kids at the high school gutting out their cats, the track junkie ripping out his back seats, to those who worked hard enough to get a factory dream car. Even if we all had the same car, they would all look and drive differently in the end.

To each his/her own.

P.s. Every time you show a car you put yourself up for criticism. that takes guts. Bragging about it does not. There will always be someone there to cut you down.

It thought about this post along time before doing so. I knew I would be bashed and it would be taken the wrong way. I quoted the thread that I wrote and know where in there am I bragging or saying Im better then anyone. The reason I posted was I was so excited/honored to be put in the same class as these cars that I thought for once it would be taken for what it is, but it obviously did not turn out like that. I was approached months before this show at another show, and this man gave me an envelope and said fill it out and send it in by monday. I didnt think anything of it and put it in my backpack with everybody elses car show flyers etc. When I fianally read it I had no idea what kind of show or cars would be there, but that the only categorey I fit in was modern day sports car. A week later I get a response saying i was invited to participate in there show and they requested more info. A few weeks after that I received another packet and I filled it out. I had no idea what was going to be there, let alone what type of vehicles my car would be paired with till the day before the show.

They put me in the "super car class" that class wasnt even on the first sheet I filled out. But when I saw the cars........I was like wow and took alot of pride of being even considered, and then I find my picture in there schedule/program.

Alot of you wont care about what Im writing now, but this thread was to share an experience that I had that I never dreamed of and that was all. Im not super fast, im not the best car out there, yes my car has alot of bells and whistles.....but thats what I like. I go to shows and pop in music videos and stand by my car the entire time talking and answering questions from young and old. MOST OF THE SUPER CAR OWNERS THERE WOULDNT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE ANYONE, LET ALONE SHOW THERE CAR.

I admit my car is over the top, and alot of you do not approve of the direction I have taken it, but I have found that people love to see all the state of the art lights, lcds, amps, subs, mirrors an so on and that what I give them.

Read my posts! Your comments rude or otherwise I cannot stop, but informing you that we are considered more then just an average car...I did do that. I hope lots of you get a chance at this show or another like it, and seize the oppurtunity and quit thinking that your car is not good enough, or shouldnt be there. I will continue to show my car as long as I put smiles on peoples and especially kids faces. Exactly. Modified350Z You obviously invested a lot of work and money into that Z. Unfortunately you got caught stretching the truth on your earlier threads which pretty much ruined your reputation.

Ordinarily it would be an amusing anecdote to have a show include a highly personalized modest sports car to be parked among stock exotics but I'm afraid until you come clean about the BS you were shovelling before, you might find it difficult to be taken seriously.

When did I ever threaten anyone? You where talking about this past show that you where either there or attending next year. Like my previous post...I said I hope alot more Z owners get the chance I had. Dont take my words and turn them into something I never implied or stated. And the point of me training MMA is? Sorry but the flames are not vinyl, everything is 100% paint and clearcoat on my car. Im not that cheap, and I happen to like the Foose rims. There for show only, obviously you wouldnt nor shouldnt race with rims that size or weight.

My only question to you is, if you paint the flame for show, why not ghost flame it and make it look a little more like show car paint, instead of just silver paint?....

To be honest airbrushing, or ghost pattern like you said would look different/better. But my body and paint guy did this to my car when I had the new front end put on. I told him to incorporate the silver thats on the side of the car somehow on the front, and when I picked it up thats what i got. I looks alot better in person, plus it was free!!!!!
